GETTER ROBOT SHOGUN WARRIORS

GETTER ROBOT SHOGUN WARRIORS

The Getter Robot G were created and exported to the foreign market within the Shogun Warrior line by the Mattel company under license from Bandai. There are various versions of the three robots that present significant differences between them, some due to economic choices, others to requirements to comply with legal obligations in the safety field. As regards the economic aspects, the second and third versions are less refined and have fewer accessories to contain production costs, while as regards legal obligations, in some versions the classic Popy missiles have been replaced by "star" missiles considered less dangerous for the eyes and to avoid cases of suffocation by ingestion.

GETTER POSEIDON

The Getter Of the 3 robots, Poseidon is the one that has undergone the most changes between one version and another of the 3 made.

First version

The first version of the Poseidon is the most faithful to the one made and sold by Popy as GA12. The legs can be folded 90 degrees and become tracks, even the rocket launchers positioned on the shoulders can rotate and be positioned on the back. The box contains 6 missiles, usually dark blue but can also be black.

Second version

The second version of the Poseidon is very different from the first. As mentioned before, for economic reasons to reduce manufacturing costs, the robot no longer has tilting legs but fixed, same thing for the missile launchers that are now fixed on the shoulders, with consequent disappearance of the sliding rails on the back that is now completely smooth. It has only 4 missiles. The pelvis is all blue while in the first it was blue and black and finally the base of the neck is red and not chromed.

Third version

The third version of the Poseidon is substantially the same as the second with the exception of the V on the belt which can sometimes be red, the main feature however is the presence of 4 yellow star-shaped missiles which as mentioned were imposed because the previous ones were considered too dangerous. Missiles That but they ruin completely the aesthetics of the robot.
