Mechabuton è la prima macchina del tempo utilizzata dai protagonisti delle serie Time Bokan. Ha l’aspetto di un coleottero meccanico. E’ in grado di volare aprendo le ali come un reale insetto, combatteva prevalentemente utilizzando il grosso corno e sparando missili. In dotazione dispone anche di due piccoli veicoli di supporto. Il Tentouiki e lo Yago Marine che venivano utilizzati prevalentemente per scopi perlustrativi prima delle battaglie.

Il Mechabuton è stato commercializzato dalla Takatoku nel 1975. Lungo circa 16 centimetri è realizzato in metallo e plastica.  Nonostante abbia abbondantemente superato i 40 anni il Mechabuton, a mio parere, è uno dei diecast più belli creato da Takatoku. E’ molto simile sia nel mecha che nella colorazione a quello che si vede nell’anime. Le ali si possono aprire a scatto e sono parzialmente realizzate in plastica trasparente. Il corno può essere alzato ed abbassato e la parte frontale può ruotare. Sotto è presente uno sportellino apribile dove inserire la miniatura del Yago Marine. E’ presente poi un piccolo alloggiamento dove posizionare quella del Tentouiki. La particolarità del diecast è anche quella di poterlo “caricare” con delle palline di plastica (ce ne sono 6 incluse nel box) che possono poi essere sparate tramite un meccanismo a molla. I veicoli Time Bokan non sono alloggiati nel polistirolo ma hanno solo del cartone protettivo come imballo.

Il Mechabuton è il diecast più rappresentativo di tutta la serie, il più amato e chiaramente il più ricercato. Assieme al Kuwagattan e al Dotabattan è il più costoso da acquistare. E’ raro da trovare completo ed è molto delicato.

Mechabuton is the first time machine used by the protagonists of the Time Bokan series . It has the appearance of a mechanical beetle. It is able to fly by opening its wings like a real insect, it fought mainly using its large horn and shooting missiles. It also has two small support vehicles. The Tentouiki and the Yago Marine which were mainly used for reconnaissance purposes before battles.

The Mechabuton was marketed by Takatoku in 1975. It is about 16 centimeters long and is made of metal and plastic. Despite being well over 40 years old, the Mechabuton , in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful diecast created by Takatoku . It is very similar both in the mecha and in the coloring to what you see in the anime. The wings can be opened with a snap and are partially made of transparent plastic. The horn can be raised and lowered and the front part can rotate. Underneath there is an opening door where you can insert the Yago Marine miniature. There is also a small housing where you can place the Tentouiki miniature . The particularity of the diecast is also that you can "load" it with plastic balls (there are 6 included in the box) that can then be shot via a spring mechanism. The Time Bokan vehicles are not housed in polystyrene but only have protective cardboard as packaging.

The Mechabuton is the most representative diecast of the entire series, the most loved and clearly the most sought after. Together with the Kuwagattan and the Dotabattan it is the most expensive to buy. It is rare to find complete and is very delicate.
