Battle Fever è il primo robot ad essere utilizzato per combattere dai protagonisti di una serie Sentai giapponese.

Battle Fever J è la terza serie Sentai trasmessa in Giappone tra il 1979 ed il 1980 composta da 52 episodi.  Si caratterizza per la presenza di un super robot pilotato dai protagonisti che diventerà una presenza costante in tutte le successive serie prodotte.

Battle Fever è il nome del robot pilotato dai protagonisti. Ha l’aspetto di un samurai giapponese in quanto dispone di un’armatura, di un vistoso elmo e soprattutto di una potente katana. Non è trasformabile o scomponile e quando non è utilizzato in battaglia è contenuto nell’hangar di una enorme astronave, la Battle Shark, che è la base volante dei protagonisti.

Catalogato come GB03 si tratta di uno dei modelli standard (è alto circa 16 cm) meglio realizzati e curati da Popy. Le cromature nere metallizzate si sposano ottimamente con il rosso acceso e con le parti volutamente lasciate argentate. Come detto precedentemente il robot non è trasformabile o scomponibile ed è poco mobile e posabile, ma  Popy ha in ogni caso risolto il “problema” dotando il robot di molti meccanismi di sparo e soprattutto inserendo nel box un vero e proprio arsenale.

Il Battle Fever dispone infatti di: una spada, 2 pugnali, 2 tirapugni dentati, un tridente una lancia, uno scudo e un’ascia.  

Battle Fever is the first robot to be used to fight by the protagonists of a Japanese Sentai series.

Battle Fever J is the third Sentai series broadcast in Japan between 1979 and 1980 consisting of 52 episodes. It is characterized by the presence of a super robot piloted by the protagonists who will become a constant presence in all subsequent series produced.

 Battle Fever is the name of the robot piloted by the protagonists. He has the appearance of a Japanese samurai as he has armor, a showy helmet and above all a powerful katana. It cannot be transformed or dismantled and when it is not used in battle it is contained in the hangar of a huge spaceship, the Battle Shark , which is the protagonists' flying base.

Cataloged as GB03, it is one of the standard models (it is approximately 16 cm tall) best made and cared for by Popy . The metallic black chrome goes excellently with the bright red and with the parts deliberately left silver. As previously mentioned, the robot cannot be transformed or dismantled and is not very mobile or poseable, but Popy has in any case solved the "problem" by equipping the robot with many firing mechanisms and above all by inserting a real arsenal into the box.

The Battle Fever has: a sword, 2 daggers, 2 toothed brass knuckles, a trident, a spear, a shield and an axe.

As far as the robot is concerned, are present the classic fists that can be shot using spring mechanisms (2 pairs of fists present in the box). It also has 2 other spring mechanisms that can be activated by 2 yellow buttons positioned on the back and on the head of the robot. One opens a sort of "drawer" positioned in the robot's chest, while the other allows you to shoot the robot's helmet. Finally, the robot is characterized by 2 chains connected to the arms.

The GB03 is not a particularly rare or expensive robot to find, although it often does not come complete with all its weapons.

Varians : Eternal Masterpiece And Eternal Hero Series

Battle Fever was reissued later by Popy . There are 2 other versions: In 1984 it was included in Eternal Masterpiece Series and in 1986 in the Eternal Hero Series.

There is also a sort of DX version where the robot was sold together with the Battle Shark in a single box . It is an imposing and majestic box where the ship is more than 30 cm large and made of metal and plastic. Included in the box, in addition to the robot's weapons, are also plastic miniatures of characters and monsters that can be inserted into a rubber "ball".

Per quanto riguarda invece il robot sono presenti i classici pugni sparabili tramite meccanismi a molla (2 coppie di pugni presenti nel box). Dispone poi di altri 2 meccanismi a molla azionabili da 2 pulsantini gialli posizionati sulla schiena e sulla testa del robot. Uno apre una sorta di “cassettino” posizionato nel petto del robot, mentre l’altro permette di sparare l’elmo del robot. Infine il robot si caratterizza per 2 catene collegate alle braccia.

Il GB03 non è un robot particolarmente raro e costoso da trovare, anche se spesso non è completo di tutte le armi.

Varianti: Eternal Masterpiece e Eternal Hero Series

Battle Fever è stato ristampato in seguito da Popy. Esistono altre 2 versioni: Nel 1984 è stato inserito nella Eternal Masterpiece Series e nel 1986 nella Eternal Hero Series.  

Esiste poi una sorta di versione DX dove in un box unico il robot veniva venduto assieme alla Battle Shark. Si tratta di un box imponente e maestoso dove la nave è grande più di 30 cm e realizzata in metallo e plastica. Inclusi nel box oltre alle armi del robot anche miniature in plastica di personaggi e mostri inseribili in una “palla” di gomma
