Dancouga è un anime mecha, composto da 38 episodi, è stato trasmesso per la prima volta in Giappone nel 1985. L’anime è arrivato anche in Italia ma non ha riscosso molto successo.

Il robot potagonista della serie, come Golion/Voltron è composto da Animali Meccanici, in questo caso però i mecha possono trasformarsi anche in veicoli o robot  di piccole dimensioni.  

La versione deluxe del robot Dancouga, catalogato come GC30 è realizzato in metallo e plastica e una volta assemblato è alto circa 23 cm. La versione deluxe è scomponibile in 4 animali robotici, particolarità di questi 4 mecha è che possono a loro volta trasformarsi sia in robot che in veicoli. A differenza delle altre serie simili dove i mezzi che componevano il robot erano per lo più inutili in battaglia, quelli del Dancouga sono invece molto forti anche singolarmente, tanto che il robot assemblato lo si vede solo dopo ben una quindicina di episodi. Bandai (che nel frattempo aveva riassorbito Popy) pose molta cura nella realizzazione di questo robot che risulta molto dettagliato e fedele a quello dell’anime televisivo.

Non dispone di meccanismi di sparo, nel box è presente solo un fucile.

deluxe version of the Dancouga robot , cataloged as GC30 , is made of metal and plastic and once assembled is approximately 23 cm tall. The deluxe version can be broken down into 4 robotic animals, a peculiarity of these 4 mechas is that they can in turn transform into both robots and vehicles. Unlike other similar series where the vehicles that made up the robot were mostly useless in battle, those of Dancouga are instead very strong even individually, so much so that the assembled robot is only seen after about fifteen episodes. Bandai (which in the meantime had reabsorbed Popy ) took great care in the creation of this robot which is very detailed and faithful to that of the television anime.

It has no firing mechanisms, there is only a rifle in the box.

I 3 mecha che formano il Dancougar possono assumere 3 modalità: Robot Veicolo e Animale, Eagle, la testa del robot, invece solo 2: Robot e animale.

Big Moth è un carro armato con la possibilità di trasformarsi in un mammut gigantesco, forma la parte principale del Dancouga.

Land Cougar:  Un carro armato speciale, si tratta del mezzo più veloce tra i 4 e  diventa il piede sinistro del robot.

Land Liger:  è simile come mecha al Land Cougar anche se ha un armamento diverso ed è meno veloce. Diventa il piede destro del robot.

Pur essendo molto particolare e ben realizzato il Dancouga GC30 è un dx abbastanza comune da trovare e non è molto ricercato  e neanche particolarmente costoso rispetto ad altri Deluxe

The 3 mecha that form the Dancougar can take on 3 modes: Robot, Vehicle and Animal, Eagle , the head of the robot, but only 2: Robot and animal.

Big Moth is a tank with the ability to transform into a gigantic mammoth, forms the main part of the Dancouga .

Land Cougar: A special tank, it is the fastest vehicle among the 4 and becomes the left foot of the robot.

Land Liger : it is similar in mecha to the Land Cougar although it has different armament and is less fast. Become the robot's right foot.

Despite being very particular and well made, the Dancouga GC30 is a fairly common right to find and is not very sought after nor particularly expensive compared to other Deluxes

Dancougar was also sold in the Godaikin line in a glass case.
