Red Pegasus: Il Pilota dal Sangue Raro
Ken Akaba è un coraggioso pilota di Formula 1 nippo-britannico che corre per la scuderia SV01. La serie narra le sue sfide sui circuiti più famosi del mondo, intrecciando la finzione con piloti reali dell’epoca come Niki Lauda, Mario Andretti e James Hunt. Ken possiede il rarissimo gruppo sanguigno “Bombay”, condiviso solo con la sorella Yuki: questo legame vitale li costringe a viaggiare sempre insieme, poiché in caso di incidente solo Yuki può donargli il sangue necessario per sopravvivere. Caratterizzato da uno stile di guida irriverente e spericolato, Ken lotta per affermarsi nel competitivo mondo delle corse degli anni ’70.
Il merchandising diecast dedicato a questa serie è estremamente limitato e rappresenta una vera rarità nel panorama del vintage. La Popy ha prodotto un unico modello focalizzato sull’auto del protagonista: il Dash SV-01, identificato con il codice PB-59. Si tratta di un pezzo prevalentemente espositivo e da collezione, meno orientato al gioco rispetto ai robot trasformabili dell’epoca, ma molto apprezzato per la fedeltà al design del manga e dell’anime. Sebbene la serie sia meno conosciuta rispetto ai grandi classici robotici, il PB-59 rimane un pezzo ambito dai collezionisti per la sua particolarità storica.

Ken Akaba (Ken Akaba) è un pilota di F1 giapponese-britannico. Il suo sangue è del gruppo sanguigno Bombay , raro al mondo, e in caso di emergenza ha bisogno di ricevere una trasfusione di sangue dalla sorella minore Yuki, che ha lo stesso sangue, quindi i due lavorano sempre insieme e avere uno stretto legame che va oltre il semplice fratello e sorella. Questo Manga descrive il successo di Ken Acaba nel mondo della F1, intrecciandolo con veri piloti dell’epoca ( Mario Andretti , Niki Lauda , James Hunt , ecc.) e macchine 6 ruote, JPS Lotus , ecc.) ). |

Ken Akaba
Corridore giapponese-britannico. Guida la macchina senza paura, a volte in modo irriverente, e si fa strada combattendo durante la gara. Inizialmente, i suoi meccanici erano insoddisfatti del comportamento di Ken, ma con il progredire della stagione lo spalleggeranno.
Yuki Akaba
La sorella minore di Ken.Quando Ken è coinvolto in un incidente e necessita di una grande trasfusione di sangue (poichè entrambi hanno un rarissimo gruppo sanguigno) glielo dono e lo salve. Per questo prende poi l’iniziativa di donare il sangue nei luoghi delle gare per conservarlo per le emergenze.
Aida
La nipote di Arashi Ginjiro. Sebbene non sappia nulla di auto o di corse, misura il tempo di gara di Shunsuke.
Nell’anime non ci sono veri e propri nemici, quanto piuttosto antagonisti. Non esistentendo all’epoca il concetto di “diritto d’immagine” nell’opera compaiono come antagonisti piloti che in quel periodo stavano realmente correndo in F1 Mario Andretti , Niki Lauda e James Hunt

Red Pegasus: The Driver with Rare Blood
Ken Akaba is a brave Japanese-British Formula 1 driver racing for the SV01 team. The series follows his challenges on the world’s most famous circuits, weaving fiction with real-life drivers of the era such as Niki Lauda, Mario Andretti, and James Hunt. Ken possesses the extremely rare “Bombay” blood type, shared only with his sister Yuki: this vital bond forces them to always travel together, as in the event of an accident, only Yuki can provide the blood needed for him to survive. Known for his irreverent and reckless driving style, Ken struggles to establish himself in the competitive world of 1970s racing.
The diecast merchandising dedicated to this series is extremely limited and represents a true rarity in the vintage scene. Popy produced a single model focused on the protagonist’s car: the Dash SV-01, identified by code PB-59. It is a model primarily intended for display and collecting, less play-oriented than the transformable robots of the time, but highly valued for its fidelity to the manga and anime design. Although the series is less known compared to the great robotic classics, the PB-59 remains a coveted piece for collectors due to its historical uniqueness.

Ken Akaba
Japanese-British racer. He drives his car fearlessly, sometimes irreverently, and fights his way through the race. Initially, his mechanics were unhappy with Ken’s behavior, but as the season progressed, they came to his aid.
Yuki Akaba
Ken’s younger sister. When Ken is involved in an accident and needs a large blood transfusion (since they both have a very rare blood type) she donates it to him and saves him. For this reason she then takes the initiative to donate blood at the race venues to save it for emergencies.
Aida
Arashi Ginjiro’s granddaughter. Although she knows nothing about cars or racing, she measures Shunsuke’s race times.
In the anime there are no real enemies, but rather antagonists. Since the concept of “image rights” did not exist at the time, the work features as antagonists drivers who were actually racing in F1 at the time Mario Andretti, Niki Lauda and James Hunt
