TRIDER G7 – L’Impiegato d’Acciaio
Watta Takeo, un ragazzino di 12 anni, eredita la ditta di famiglia Takeo General che si occupa di consegne spaziali. Tra un impegno scolastico e l’altro, pilota il potente robot Trider G7, custodito al di sotto di un parco giochi cittadino, per proteggere i carichi dai pirati spaziali di Lord Zakuron.
Il merchandising della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta CLOVER, che produsse una vasta gamma di modelli. Tra questi spicca il leggendario Trider 7 trasformazioni, oggi ricercatissimo e inserito di diritto nella Top 10 dei Diecast più costosi e rari al mondo.

| TRIDER G7 – 50 PUNTATE – 1983 |
La storia narra di un ragazzino, Watta Takeo, che, dopo la morte del padre eredita la ditta di famiglia (la Takeo General) che si occupa di consegne spaziali, effettuate con il robot Trider, custodito al di sotto di un parco giochi – al centro del quale c’è proprio la testa del Trider – vicino alla sede della ditta. Il personale della Takeo General comprende il signor Kakikoji, anziano ed avaro contabile con una decina di figli, il sig. Atsui, corpulento meccanico del Trider (è un ex-sordomuto doppiato in uno strano dialetto per rendere l’handicap, che adotterà un bambino con lo stesso problema), il sig. Kinoshita, impiegato arrivista e la signorina Ikue, la bionda segretaria. Durante le sue missioni Watta si trova a combattere sempre più frequentemente contro i robot di una ditta di consegne interplanetaria, al cui vertice vi è un mega-computer, quindi Lord Zakuron e il suo diretto sottoposto Ondron, due cyborg. Alla fine Ondron riesce a distruggere il mega computer ma viene ucciso da Lord Zakuron. Questo, a bordo di un grosso robot identico a lui, sfida Watta e il Trider. Lo scontro si risolve con la ritirata di Lord Zakuron che decide di dirigersi verso altre galassie. L’ultimo episodio vede il celebrarsi del matrimonio tra il maestro Daimon e la maestra di Watta e la consegna dei diplomi. La puntata si chiude con Watta che, a bordo del suo Trider, vola nel tramonto verso nuove avventure. |

Anime mecha dai toni leggeri e rivolto ad un pubblico giovane, riscosse un buon successo in patria. Fu riprodotto in innumerevoli modelli dalla ditta Clover che ne ottenne i diritti. Una vasta gamma di Toys molto belli e curati che vanno dai modelli più piccoli in plastica fino al Trider 7 trasformazioni ad oggi ricercatissimo e di diritto nella Top 10 dei Diecast più costosi.
Attualmente i diecast della ditta CLOVER non sono ancora stati catalogati nell’ Enciclopedia dei Diecast. Il volume è in fase di realizzazione.

Robot inizialmente costruito per svolgere consegne interstellari, successivamente a causa di attacchi da parte di alieni della stella Gaball è stato potenziato con vari tipi di armi e missili per renderlo più forte e adatto alle battaglie. E’ in grado di trasformasi in un astronave (configurazione utilizzata durante il volo interplanetario) ed in una sorta di carro armato (utilizzata raramente in battaglia). |

Watta
12 anni, il giovane protagonista. A seguito dell’improvvisa morte del padre, si trova a dover succedere alla presidenza della ditta privata di famiglia, che si occupa di garantire la sicurezza durante i trasporti spaziali dalla Terra verso le colonie del sistema solare. È anche l’unico pilota del robot Trider, allo studio preferisce di gran lunga dormire, mangiare e pilotare il Trider. A volte è però preso da nostalgia in quanto non può condurre la vita normale degli altri ragazzini della sua età, spensierata e senza alcuna preoccupazione di sorta.
Umemaro Kakikoji
65 anni, è il vice presidente designato della compagnia. Molto responsabile e ligio al dovere, e costantemente preoccupato per i conti che non sembrano mai voler tornare; cerca di ridurre pertanto le spese quanto più possibile aiutato dal fedele pallottoliere.
Tetsuo Atsui
50 anni, tecnico della compagnia, indossa sempre una tuta da lavoro; è un po’ basso e abbastanza corpulento, parla con una particolarissima cadenza cantilenante.
Ikue Sobara
Segretaria contabile della compagnia, ha 19 anni ed è la più giovane dei dipendenti dopo Watta. Per il ragazzo assume la figura di una gentile ma ferma sorella maggiore, mentre Touachiro ha una cotta non tanto segreta per lei.
Kaoru Taki
la ragazza più carina, cortese e diligente della classe, che saltuariamente sembra dimostrare un certo interesse per Watta piuttosto che lo spocchioso Ken’ichi.
Akira Yamada
12 anni, compagno di classe grande e grosso di Watta, nonché uno dei suoi migliori amici. Si lascia spesso abbindolare dalle promesse del ricco e viziatissimo Ken’ichi.
Ondron
40 anni, spietato dirigente di una’organizzazione di pirati spaziali, uno degli antagonisti principali della serie. Non prova alcuno scrupolo nel danneggiare e mandare in rovina gli avversari, il tutto per ottenere il predominio incontrastato e il monopolio delle rotte spaziali. Ha i capelli lisciati all’indietro con la riga in mezzo, e un paio di baffetti lunghi e sottili; fuma incessantemente una sigaretta con lungo bocchino ed è il sottoposto di Lord Zakuron.
Lord Zakuron
23 anni, potente e spietato capo incontrastato dell’organizzazione; si scopre che in realtà Ondron è solo uno dei tanti dirigenti che il malvagio Zakuron ha mandato a colonizzare i vari sistemi solari.
Jirba
Giovane biondina inviata da Lord Zakuron, che afferma di tenere parecchio a lei: vanitosa, provocante e spietata, indossa un succinto vestito rosso che mette in evidenza il seno prosperoso e le sue gambe lunghe; estremamente sadica, odia gli esseri umani e non coglie occasione per ucciderne quanti più possibile nei suoi attacchi.
Dottor Clark
Scienziato pazzo con monocolo che mette sempre la sua mente diabolica al servizio del malvagio Lord Zakuron e di Ondron.
TRIDER G7 – The Steel Employee
12-year-old Watta Takeo inherits the family business Takeo General, a space delivery company. Balancing school and work, he pilots the powerful Trider G7 robot, hidden beneath a local playground, to defend cargo from Lord Zakuron’s space pirates.
The merchandising for the series was produced by CLOVER, which released a wide range of models. Most notably, the legendary Trider 7 Transformations is now one of the top 10 most expensive and rarest Diecasts worldwide.

The story tells of a young boy, Watta Takeo, who, after his father’s death, inherits the family business (Takeo General) that deals with space deliveries, carried out with the robot Trider, kept under a playground – in the center of which is the head of the Trider – near the headquarters of the company. The staff of Takeo General includes Mr. Kakikoji, an elderly and stingy accountant with about ten children, Mr. Atsui, a corpulent mechanic of the Trider (he is a former deaf-mute dubbed in a strange dialect to convey the handicap, who will adopt a child with the same problem), Mr. Kinoshita, a careerist employee and Miss Ikue, the blonde secretary. During his missions, Watta finds himself fighting more and more frequently against the robots of an interplanetary delivery company, at the top of which is a mega-computer, namely Lord Zakuron and his direct subordinate Ondron, two cyborgs. In the end Ondron manages to destroy the mega computer but is killed by Lord Zakuron. The latter, aboard a large robot identical to him, challenges Watta and the Trider. The clash ends with the retreat of Lord Zakuron who decides to head towards other galaxies. The last episode sees the celebration of the marriage between the master Daimon and Watta’s teacher and the delivery of the diplomas. The episode ends with Watta who, aboard his Trider, flies into the sunset towards new adventures. |
The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the CLOVER .
Anime mecha with light tones and aimed at a young audience, it was a good success in its homeland. It was reproduced in countless models by the Clover company that obtained the rights. A wide range of very beautiful and well-finished Toys that go from the smallest plastic models up to the Trider 7 transformations, which is today highly sought after and rightfully in the Top 10 of the most expensive Diecasts.
Currently the company’s diecasts CLOVER have not yet been catalogued in the Diecast Encyclopedia. The volume is in progress.

Watta
12 years old, the young protagonist. Following the sudden death of his father, he finds himself having to succeed to the presidency of the private family company, which deals with ensuring safety during space transports from Earth to the colonies of the solar system. He is also the sole pilot of the robot Trider, he prefers sleeping, eating and piloting the Trider to studying. Sometimes, however, he is overcome by nostalgia because he cannot lead the normal life of other children his age, carefree and without any worries of any kind.
Umemaro Kakikoji
65 years old, he is the vice president designate of the company. Very responsible and dutiful, and constantly worried about the accounts that never seem to add up; therefore he tries to reduce expenses as much as possible, helped by his faithful abacus.
Tetsuo Atsui
50 years old, a company technician, always wears overalls; he is a little short and quite corpulent, he speaks with a very particular sing-song accent.
Ikue Sobara
The company’s accounting secretary, she is 19 years old and the youngest employee after Watta. She acts as a kind but firm older sister to the boy, while Touachiro has a not-so-secret crush on her.
Kaoru Taki
the prettiest, most polite and diligent girl in class, who occasionally seems to show a certain interest in Watta rather than the snobbish Ken’ichi.
Akira Yamada
12 years old, Watta’s big and burly classmate and one of his best friends. He often lets himself be fooled by the promises of the rich and spoiled Ken’ichi.
Ondron
40 years old, ruthless leader of a space pirate organization, one of the main antagonists of the series. He has no qualms about damaging and ruining his opponents, all to obtain unchallenged dominance and monopoly of space routes. He has slicked back hair parted in the middle, and a long, thin mustache; he incessantly smokes a cigarette with a long holder and is Lord Zakuron’s subordinate.
Lord Zakuron
23 years old, powerful and ruthless undisputed leader of the organization; it turns out that in reality Ondron is only one of the many executives that the evil Zakuron has sent to colonize the various solar systems.
Jirba
A young blonde sent by Lord Zakuron, who claims to care a lot about her: vain, provocative and ruthless, she wears a skimpy red dress that highlights her large breasts and long legs; extremely sadistic, she hates humans and takes no opportunity to kill as many as possible in her attacks.
Dottor Clark
Mad scientist with a monocle who always puts his devilish mind at the service of the evil Lord Zakuron and Ondron.
