L’enciclopedia dei Diecast è una serie di volumi cartacei,attualmente 5, che cataloga in modo molto dettagliato la produzione di giocattoli in metallo realizzati in Giappone tra gli anni 70 e 80. I volumi sono suddivisi per “Casa Produttrice”. Nei primi 3 è stata catalogata l’enorme produzione di giocattoli realizzati dalla POPY (nata come ramo della casa madre Bandai). Nel Quarto Volume sono state catalogate ditte minori (BULLMARK, ARK, NOMURA e NAKAJIMA) che comunque hanno segnato la storia con modelli ancora oggi ricercatissimi e costosi. Il quinto volume è interamente dedicato alla ditta TAKATOKU, maggiore antagonista della Popy, la cui produzione è stata molto ampia arrivando all’apice del mondo grazie alla serie MACROSS.

Primo libro completamente in Italiano che raccoglie immagini, informazioni e schede tecniche di tutti i modelli in metallo prodotti dalla ditta POPY tra il 1973 ed il 1979. In questo primo volume vengono trattate le serie GA e PA, in particolare troverete per la prima volta una dettagliata scheda tecnica di ogni giocattolo con foto del box e dei vari ovari oggetti in dotazione di tutti i modelli delle linee GA e PA prodotti, ma soprattutto tutte le varianti in cui il gio-cattolo è stato realizzato.
II° VOLUME: POPY GB-PB
In questo secondo libro dell’Enciclopedia Diecast continua la catalogazione dei modelli Chogokin realizzati dalla ditta Popy tra il 1977 ed il 1983. Verranno nello specifico trattate le linee GB (Robots e personaggi principali tratti da Anime serie Sentai e Tokusatsu) e PB (veicoli e mezzi secondari). Si tratta degli anni d’oro della famosa ditta Giapponese caratterizzati dalla produ- zione di fantastici modelli Deluxe, molti dei quali arrivati anche nei nostri negozi durante i primi anni 80 e che hanno alimentato i sogni dei bambini dell’epoca che oggi diventati adulti li cercano ancora per poter rivivere quei fantastici ricordi legati ad un’ infanzia, fatta di gioco e divertimento.
III° VOLUME: POPY GC-PC
Con questo terzo libro dell’Enciclopedia Diecast, si conclude la catalogazione dei modelli Chogokin realizzati dalla ditta Popy prima di essere nel 1983 riassorbita dalla Casa Madre Bandai. Verranno trattate le due linee di giocattoli GC (Robots e per- sonaggi principali tratti da Anime, serie Sentai e Tokusatsu) e PC (veicoli e mezzi secondari).
IV° VOLUME: BULLMARK, NAKAJIMA, NOMURA; ARK
In questo quarto volume dell’Enciclopedia dei Diecast verranno trattati i giocattoli in metallo realizzati da alcune ditte “minori” rispetto alle più famose e potenti Popy e Takatoku, ma che hanno comunque lasciato un segno indelebile del loro passaggio nel mondo dei giocattoli. V° VOLUME: TAKATOKU
Quinto volume dell’Enciclopedia Diecast. Dopo aver catalogato i modelli Popy nei primi tre volumi e Bullmark, Ark, Nomura e Nakajima nel quarto, in questo entriamo nel fantastico mondo Takatoku. Azienda leader del settore, l’unica che grazie alla qualità dei suoi modelli, unita ad un’offerta diecast elevatis- sima, è riuscita a tenere testa allo strapotere Popy/Bandai. Un ennesimo tuffo nel passato che passerà dalla produzione Z-gokin con bellissimi diecast come Daikengo, Capitan Harlock, Megaloman e le Time Bokan, arrivando all’evoluzione della linea Kanzen Henkei con i modelli ultra realistici di Macross, Orguss, Sasuraiger, Dorvack e Beetras.
The Diecast Encyclopedia is a series of paperback volumes, currently five, that catalogue in great detail the production of diecast toys made in Japan between the 1970s and 1980s. The volumes are divided by “Manufacturer.” The first three catalogue the enormous production of toys made by POPY (born as a branch of the parent company Bandai). The fourth volume catalogues smaller companies (BULLMARK, ARK, NOMURA, and NAKAJIMA), which nevertheless made history with models that are still highly sought-after and expensive today. The fifth volume is entirely dedicated to the TAKATOKU company, Popy’s main rival, whose production was very large, reaching the pinnacle of worldwide success thanks to the MACROSS series.

This third book of the Diecast Encyclopedia concludes the cataloging of the Chogokin models produced by the Popy company before being reabsorbed by the parent company Bandai in 1983.
