Battle Fever J: L’Alba dei Robot Giganti nel Super Sentai
Trasmessa tra il 1979 e il 1980, Battle Fever J rappresenta una pietra miliare nella storia della TV giapponese. Prodotta dalla Toei in collaborazione con la Marvel, è la terza serie Super Sentai ma la prima in assoluto a introdurre un robot gigante pilotato dal team: il Battle Fever Robo. La squadra, composta da eroi che rappresentano diverse nazioni, combatte contro la società segreta Egos utilizzando un arsenale tecnologico senza precedenti.
Il merchandising d’epoca, dominato dalla Popy, riflette l’importanza di questa transizione. Il modello Battle Fever Robo (GB-03) è un pezzo iconico della linea Chogokin, celebre per la sua estetica ispirata alle armature dei samurai. Altrettanto leggendaria è la Battle Shark (PB-83), l’imponente base volante a forma di sottomarino che si apre per lanciare il robot: la versione Deluxe è oggi uno degli oggetti più ambiti dai collezionisti.

L’organizzazione criminale Egos inizia il suo piano per il dominio del mondo assassinando importanti membri del Ministero della Difesa. Per fermarla, il governo giapponese riunisce quattro giovani che erano stati mandati ad allenarsi in diverse parti del mondo, e dona loro armi e armature che conferiscono loro poteri sovrumani (come sempre). I quattro poi si alleano con un agente dell’FBI, il cui padre era stato assassinato da Egos, e diventano la squadra di Battle Fever! Comandata dal Generale Kurama del Ministero della Difesa, la squadra Battle Fever è composta da Battle Japan (rosso), Battle France (blu), Battle Cossack (arancione), Battle Kenya (nero) e Miss America (rosa, e l’unica donna) . Ognuno ha armature e armi personalizzate (lancia, spada, boomerang, ecc.) e una Verga del Potere. I cinque Bastoni del Potere uniti insieme formano il bazooka Penta Force, utilizzato per distruggere i mostri. Ai 4 ragazzi viene affidata la guida del robot Battle fever e dell’enorme base volante che lo contiene, la Battle Shark. Il perfido Egos cerca di distruggere il potente robot inviandogli contro dei mostri, che vengono però ripetutamente sconfitti. Durante la storia i Battle Fever perdono 2 compagni Miss America e Battle Cossak, ma affiancati da nuovi compagni la squadra riesce finalmente a sconfiggere il misterioso e potentissimo Satan Ergos. |

Modelli diecast realizzati da Popy che ha riprodotto la base volante dei protagonisti ed il loro Robot. E’ stata realizzata anche una Battle Shark deluxe in grado di contenere al suo interno il Battle Fever Robot, è molto rara da trovare soprattutto se completa dei molti accessori inclusi nella confezione.

| Simile ad un sottomarino corazzato si divide a metà per lanciare la battaglia il battle Fever Robot e le sue armi. In battaglia Shark è armato con diverse armi nel suo arsenale. Le armi principali sono missili Vulcano , e le pistole soniche poste frontalmente. Nel combattimento con i robot di Egos ha un artiglio estendibile utilizzato per immobilizzare i nemici. |

Battle Japan
Ex ufficiale del ministero della Difesa Nazionale. E’ bravo a judo e karate . Armato di una lancia, è il pilota principale del robot e leader delò gruppo.
Battle Cossack
Secondo al comando nel gruppo. Esperto nella scienza ed ottimo stratega militare.quando non è in battaglia adora giocare a Pachinko, Muore nel episodio 33 .
Battle France
Si è ‘allenato in Francia. E’ un dandy playboy etremamente nercisista. Adora mangiare lumache . E’armato con una spada di scherma.
Battle Kenya
Si è allenato in Kenya. Era un bambino selvaggio in grado di parlare con gli animali . Armato di una frusta . Ballauna danza tropicale . Mangia qualsiasi cosa ma l’odore delle pietanze che prepara non è apprezzato dagli altri membri del team.
Miss America
Era un agente dell’FBI che è entrata nel team Fever per vendicare la morte di suo padre, che è stato ucciso da Egos .Esperta nel lancio di coltelli da lancio.

Battle Fever J: The Dawn of Giant Robots in Super Sentai
Aired between 1979 and 1980, Battle Fever J is a pivotal series in Japanese television history. A co-production between Toei and Marvel, it is the third Super Sentai entry but the very first to feature a giant piloted robot: the Battle Fever Robo. The team, featuring heroes representing different nations, faces off against the sinister Egos organization with a blend of international style and advanced technology.
The vintage toy line by Popy is a testament to the show’s innovation. The Battle Fever Robo (GB-03) Chogokin figure remains a fan favorite, distinguished by its samurai-inspired design and an incredible array of weapons. Equally iconic is the Battle Shark (PB-83), the massive flying submarine base that splits open to deploy the robot. The Deluxe version of the Battle Shark is a crown jewel for collectors worldwide.

The criminal organization Egos begins its plan for world domination by assassinating important members of the Ministry of Defense. To stop her, the Japanese government gathers together four young people who had been sent to train in different parts of the world, and gives them weapons and armor that give them superhuman powers (as always). The four then team up with an FBI agent, whose father had been murdered by Egos, and become the Battle Fever team! Commanded by General Kurama of the Ministry of Defense, the Battle Fever team consists of Battle Japan (red), Battle France (blue), Battle Cossack (orange), Battle Kenya (black), and Miss America (pink, and the only female). Each has custom armor and weapons (spear, sword, boomerang, etc.) and a Rod of Power. The five Sticks of Power joined together form the Penta Force bazooka, used to destroy monsters. The 4 boys are entrusted with the leadership of the robot Battle fever and the enormous flying base that contains it, the Battle Shark. The evil Egos tries to destroy the powerful robot by sending monsters against it, which are however repeatedly defeated. During the story, the Battle Fever lose 2 companions Miss America and Battle Cossak, but supported by new companions the team finally manages to defeat the mysterious and very powerful Satan Ergos. |
The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY .
Diecast models made by Popy who reproduced the flying base of the protagonists and their Robot. A deluxe Battle Shark was also made that can contain the Battle Fever Robot inside, it is very rare to find especially if complete with the many accessories included in the package.

| Similar to an armored submarine it splits in half to launch the battle Fever Robot and its weapons. In battle Shark is armed with several weapons in its arsenal. The main weapons are Vulcan missiles, and the front-mounted sonic guns. In combat with Egos’ robots it has an extendable claw used to immobilize enemies. |

Battle Japan
A former officer of the Ministry of National Defense. He is good at judo and karate. Armed with a spear, he is the main pilot of the robot and leader of the group.
Battle Cossack
Second in command in the group. Expert in science and excellent military strategist. When not in battle he loves to play Pachinko. He dies in episode 33.
Battle France
He trained in France. He is an extremely nercissistic dandy playboy. He loves to eat snails. He is armed with a fencing sword.
Battle Kenya
He trained in Kenya. He was a wild child who could talk to animals. Armed with a whip. He danced a tropical dance. He would eat anything but the smell of the food he prepared was not appreciated by the other team members.
Miss America
She was an FBI agent who joined the Fever team to avenge the death of her father, who was killed by Egos. Expert in throwing throwing knives.
The Egos Secret Society
A religion of self-centered lunatics intent on throwing the world into chaos
Satan Egos
The mysterious boss, completely hidden by a black cloth. He creates monsters to throw against the Battle Fever.
Commander Hedder
High priest of Ego. He is later transformed into a monster and is killed in battle.
Salomé
An officer of an American criminal group, she came to Japan to help Hedder in his plan of conquest. She is responsible for many murders in America.
