Cyborg 009: I Nove Guerrieri di Shotaro Ishinomori
Tratto dal capolavoro di Shotaro Ishinomori e prodotto dalla Toei Animation nel 1979, Cyborg 009 racconta la storia di nove individui trasformati in cyborg che lottano contro l’organizzazione Black Ghost.
Nel collezionismo vintage, la licenza principale fu affidata a Takatoku per la linea Z-Character. La produzione si divide tra il Joe Shimamura (009) in metallo (disponibile anche in versione Power Up) e gli altri personaggi della squadra realizzati in plastica. Il cuore tecnologico della linea è rappresentato dai mezzi in diecast: il sottomarino Dolphin e la Stranger, l’iconica auto sportiva di Joe. Questi pezzi, con il logo “Z” sulle scatole originali, sono oggi tappe obbligate per ogni collezionista dell’universo di Ishinomori.

| CYBORG 009 -50 PUNTATE – 1979 |
Nove ragazzi vengono rapiti dagli agenti di una organizzazione criminale chiamata Black Ghost e vengono tramutati in cyborg, ciascuno con i propri super poteri. I nove cyborg riescono a sfuggire al controllo di Black Ghost e, aiutati dal dottor Gilmore, iniziarono la loro guerra contro l’organizzazione, il cui intento è di far scoppiare nuovi conflitti globali così da poter vendere le loro armi tecnologicamente avanzate al miglior offerente. Ishinomori voleva concludere il manga con la sconfitta dei leader di Black Ghost, ma numerose proteste da parte dai fan lo spinsero a continuare il manga, che vedrà così i cyborg in una nuova serie di avventure autoconclusive alle prese con scienziati pazzi, antiche civiltà ed esseri sovrannaturali. Shotaro Ishinomori aveva realizzato una trilogia di romanzi dove i nove cyborg affrontarono delle divinità intenzionate a distruggere il mondo. Questa storia è stata concepita come la conclusione della serie. I libri sono ancora inediti in Italia.. |

CYBORG 009
Nato in Giappone, il 16 maggio, è l’ultimo cyborg creato dal Dottor Gilmore e il meglio riuscito, la sua pelle antiproiettile gli consente una difesa robusta e la sua ipervelocità spostamenti che ingannano il nemico.

Cyborg 002 – Jet Link
Jet, come suggerisce il nome, ha dei propulsori installati nei piedi, che gli permettono di volare a velocità superiori a Mach 5. 002 è anche equipaggiato con una forma primitiva di modulo di accelerazione, più tardi migliorata in 009.

Cyborg 004 – Albert Heinrich
nato a Berlino il 19 settembre, è dotato di un arsenale all’interno del suo corpo: spara raffiche di proiettili dalla mano sinistra, nella destra possiede una lama integrata che fuoriesce lateralmente a comando dal taglio della mano, conferendo a 004 la capacità di tagliare a colpi di karate numerosi oggetti; infine può sparare dalle ginocchia razzi in grado di abbattere un elicottero o distruggere un carro armato.

Cyborg 005 – Geronimo, Jr.
nato in Arizona il 25 dicembre, è dotato di una superforza che lo rende il più forte dei nove, possiede un’armatura epidermica che lo rende pressoché immune alle armi da fuoco di piccolo calibro ed è alto circa 2 metri A

007 ha l’incredibile abilità di modificare la sua struttura cellulare a proprio piacimento, il che gli permette di diventare ogni oggetto, creatura, o persona lui desideri,Il suo numero è una chiara citazione alla famosa spia britannica James Bond

| Cyborg 001 – Ivan Whisky – Cyborg 003 – Francoise Arnoul – Cyborg 006 – Chang Chang Ku |
Ivan è un bambino originario della Russia, Le accresciute facoltà mentali di Ivan gli diedero diversi poteri psichici, come la telepatia, la telecinesi e percezioni extra-sensoriali. Tuttavia, egli alcune volte cade addormentato nei momenti inopportuni dovuto al fatto che è ancora un bambino e il suo corpo non può sostenere a lungo dei poteri così forti. Françoise è originaria della Francia, Unico membro femminile del team, 003 raramente combatte e viene spesso vista dirigere la battaglia sotto la guida del dottor Gilmore o prendersi cura di 001. Possiede vista ed udito potenziati, che le permettono di vedere attraverso i muri e accorgersi di cose che gli altri non notano. Chang è nato in Cina il 29 febbraio, le sue doti gli consentono di sputare fuoco. Prima di diventare un cyborg lavorava nel ristorante di famiglia come cuoco e ancora adesso nei momenti liberi si dedica alla sua passione preferita: il cibo. I protagonisti dell’anime hanno una base segreta capitanata dal professor Gilmore e utilizzano come mezzo principale per viaggiare il Dolphine II. Cyborg 009 guida anche un auto da corsa in gradi di trasformarsi. Tutti questi mezzi sono stati commercializzati dalla Takatoku. |

Spettro Nero
Black Ghost nella versione originale, è la principale organizzazione antagonista dell`intera opera. Il suo scopo è quello di dominare il pianeta utilizzando cyborg come propri soldati. Il dottor Gilmore era inizialmente uno scienziato al soldo dello Spettro Nero, ma decise di ribellarsi e portò con sé i nove cyborg da lui costruiti.
Skull
E’ il tirannico leader dell’organizzazione Fantasma Nero. La sua vera identità è sconosciuta perché indossa sempre un elmetto dalla foggia di teschio ed una tuta completamente nera con un mantello rosso.
Shiba, Brehmut e Bishun
Tripletta di cyborg e leader della rinata organizzazione Fantasma Nero.Originariamente degli umani, in seguito alla morte di Skull e una volta divenuti i nuovi leader del Fantasma Nero hanno sostituito le parti benevole del proprio corpo con protesi cibernetiche, in modo da essere sopraffatti dalla malvagita`

I primi 9 episodi della serie Cyborg – I nove supermagnifici del 1979 rappresentano l`Arco di Yggdrasill nel quale i protagonisti devono affrontare un’organizzazione di cyborg che si spacciano per divinità norrene e che cercano di soggiogare la popolazione mondiale.
Cyborg 009: Shotaro Ishinomori’s Nine Warriors
Based on the masterpiece by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei Animation in 1979, Cyborg 009 follows nine cyborgs fighting for peace against the Black Ghost organization.
The vintage toy market is led by Takatoku’s Z-Character line. The collection features a diecast Joe Shimamura (009) figure, also available in a Power Up version, while the rest of the team was produced in plastic. The lineup is completed by heavy metal vehicles: the Dolphin submarine and Joe’s signature sports car, the Stranger. These Takatoku toys, marked with the “Z” logo, are essential pieces for fans of vintage Japanese hero toys.

Nine kids are kidnapped by agents of a criminal organization called Black Ghost and turned into cyborgs, each with their own superpowers. The nine cyborgs manage to escape Black Ghost’s control and, aided by Dr. Gilmore, begin their war against the organization, whose intent is to start new global conflicts so they can sell their technologically advanced weapons to the highest bidder. Ishinomori wanted to end the manga with the defeat of the Black Ghost leaders, but numerous protests from fans pushed him to continue the manga, which will thus see the cyborgs in a new series of self-contained adventures dealing with mad scientists, ancient civilizations and supernatural beings. Shotaro Ishinomori had created a trilogy of novels where the nine cyborgs faced deities intent on destroying the world. This story was conceived as the conclusion of the series. The books are still unpublished in Italy. |
The diecast merchandising of the series was made by the company TAKATOKU .

Born in Japan on May 16, he is the latest cyborg created by Doctor Gilmore and the most successful, his bulletproof skin allows him a robust defense and his hyperspeed movements that deceive the enemy.

Cyborg 002 – Jet Link
Jet, as the name suggests, has thrusters installed in its feet, allowing it to fly at speeds in excess of Mach 5. 002 is also equipped with a primitive form of acceleration module, later improved in 009.

Cyborg 004 – Albert Heinrich
Born in Berlin on September 19, he is equipped with an arsenal inside his body: he shoots bursts of bullets from his left hand, in his right hand he has an integrated blade that comes out laterally on command from the edge of his hand, giving 004 the ability to cut numerous objects with karate chops; finally, he can shoot rockets from his knees capable of shooting down a helicopter or destroying a tank.

Cyborg 005 – Geronimo, Jr.
Born in Arizona on December 25, he is endowed with super strength that makes him the strongest of the nine, he has skin armor that makes him almost immune to small caliber firearms and is approximately 2 meters tall.
Cyborg 007 – Bretagna
007 has the incredible ability to alter his cellular structure at will, allowing him to become any object, creature, or person he desires. His number is a clear reference to the famous British spy James Bond.

Ivan is a child originally from Russia. Ivan’s increased mental faculties have given him several psychic powers, such as telepathy, telekinesis, and extrasensory perception. However, he sometimes falls asleep at inopportune times due to the fact that he is still a child and his body cannot sustain such strong powers for long. Françoise is originally from France. The only female member of the team, 003 rarely fights and is often seen directing battles under the guidance of Dr. Gilmore or taking care of 001. She possesses enhanced vision and hearing, allowing her to see through walls and notice things that others miss. Chang was born in China on February 29, his abilities allow him to breathe fire. The protagonists of the anime have a secret base led by Professor Gilmore and use the Dolphine II as their main means of travel. Cyborg 009 also drives a racing car capable of transforming. All of these vehicles were marketed by Takatoku. |

Black Spectre
Black Ghost in the original version, is the main antagonist organization of the entire work. Its goal is to dominate the planet using cyborgs as its soldiers. Doctor Gilmore was initially a scientist in the pay of the Black Ghost, but decided to rebel and brought with him the nine cyborgs he built.
Skull
He is the tyrannical leader of the Black Ghost organization. His true identity is unknown as he always wears a skull-shaped helmet and an all-black suit with a red cape.
Shiba, Brehmut e Bishun
Triplet of cyborgs and leaders of the reborn Black Ghost organization. Originally humans, following the death of Skull and once they became the new leaders of the Black Ghost they replaced the benevolent parts of their bodies with cybernetic prostheses, so as to be overwhelmed by evil.
Divinità Norrene
The first 9 episodes of the 1979 series Cyborg – The Nine Supermagnificent represent the Yggdrasill Arc in which the protagonists must face an organization of cyborgs who pass themselves off as Norse deities and who seek to subjugate the world’s population.
