Dancouga: Il Dio delle Macchine Bestiali
Andata in onda nel 1985, Dancouga è celebre per le sue “Cyber Beast Machines”: quattro unità capaci di trasformarsi in veicoli, bestie e robot prima di unirsi nel leggendario gigante guerriero.
Nel collezionismo vintage, i modelli di riferimento sono prodotti da Bandai. Il set DX (GC-30) è il pezzo più prestigioso per complessità e trasformazione, affiancato dalla solida versione ST (GC-31). Grande rilevanza ha anche la versione Godaikin, famosa per la sua mole e la ricchezza di metallo. Trovare un Dancouga originale degli anni ’80 completo di ogni accessorio rappresenta il vertice per ogni appassionato di robot componibili complessi.

| DANCOUGAR – DANCOUGA– 38 PUNTATE – 1985 |
La serie parla delle imprese di una squadra di quattro soldati: Shinobu Fujiwara, Sara Yuki, Masato Shikibu e Ryo Shiba. Pilotano il mecha Dancouga e combattono per liberare la terra dagli invasori alieni conosciuti come l’impero di Muge Zorbados. Dancouga è un esempio di robot componibile. Tuttavia, a differenza di altre serie simili, dove i componenti singoli non servivano a nulla finché non si univano, Dancouga non si unisce fino alla metà della serie. Ciò significa che, a differenza del tipo precedentemente accennato di robot componibili, in cui le componenti erano utili generalmente a poco, le singole Cyber Bestie erano efficaci in combattimento. Molti degli elementi di storia di Dancouga girano intorno alla religione (principalmente cristiana, anche se la serie prende in prestito molto dalla filosofia Taoista), ed alla musica. Il tema “divino” è molto presente nella maggior parte degli episodi. |

Arma segreta progettata per contrastare il misterioso Impero alieno di Muge Zorbados, Dancouga è l’arma più importante dell’esercito di difesa terrestre. Creato dal professor Hazuki, Dancouga nasce dall’unione dei quattro mecha del Jūsenki Tai. Caratteristica principale che permette l’assemblaggio del robot è la sincronia cerebrale dei suoi piloti e soprattutto lo sviluppo dell’Aggressive Beast, ovvero l”istinto aggressivo e di sopravvivenza celato nei suoi piloti, il quale viene fuori nei momenti critici. |

Shinobu Fujiwara
Pilota dell’Eagle Fighter e caposquadra di Dancougar.
Impaziente, impulsivo, perde facilmente la testa cacciandosi spesso nei guai. Nell’evolversi della storia saprà dimostrare uno straordinario acume ed intuito militare, emergendo come pilota e come leader della squadra.
Sara Yuki
Sara Yuki è stata assegnata all’unità corazzata dell’Estremo Oriente alcuni giorni dopo Shinobu. Sara è conosciuta per il suo temperamento ardente e ama nuotare e ascoltare musica.
Masato Shikibu
È il più giovane membro della Squadra Cyber Bestie. Un ragazzo attivo, benché in qualche modo acerbo, la sua impressionante resistenza compensa la sua mancanza di esperienza in combattimento.
Ryo Shiba
Ryo è un uomo calmo che si esercita nella spiritualità secondo le discipline cinesi del Kenpou. Dopo il diploma all’accademia militare, ha deciso di vagare per il mondo per praticare le sue arti marziali di Kenpou.
Generale Igor Ross
Il generale è il comandante della Pattuglia Zoodroide. E’ Igor che raduna i quattro ragazzi per farne una squadra da combattimento e addestrarli a pilotare i mezzi robotici che uniti formano il Dancougar.
Ross Igor
Alan Igor è il figlio del generale Ross Igor, il comandante della squadra Dancougar. Alan, al comando della sua squadriglia sotto lo pseudonimo di Cavaliere Nero, pilota l’aereo da combattimento Black Eagle, un caccia in grado di trasformarsi in robot.
Mugue Zolbado
Imperatore del popolo degli alieni invasori. Di solito lo si vede attraverso un globo di comunicazione, quando impartisce ordini ai suoi generali.
Shapiro Keats
Comandante delle Armate Zorbados.ufficiale dell’esercito statunitense datosi alla fuga al momento dell’attacco nemico, viene catturato e torturato dagli alieni e decide di offrire spontaneamente i suoi servigi all’imperatore Zorbados.
Luna Rossa
Secondo ufficiale di Shapiro. La donna viene inviata da Muge Zorbados per tenerlo sotto controllo e verificarne la lealtà, ma i sentimenti nei suoi confronti finiranno per compromettere la sua missione.
Helmut
Alan Igor è il figlio del generale Ross Igor, il comandante della squadra Dancougar. Alan, al comando della sua squadriglia sotto lo pseudonimo di Cavaliere Nero, pilota l’aereo da combattimento Black Eagle, un caccia in grado di trasformarsi in robot.
Dancouga: The Super Beast Machine God
Aired in 1985, Dancouga is famous for its “Cyber Beast Machines”—four units capable of transforming into vehicles, beasts, and robots before merging into the legendary giant warrior.
The ultimate vintage collectibles were released by Bandai. The DX Set (GC-30) is the most prestigious for its complexity, followed by the solid ST version (GC-31). The Godaikin release is equally iconic, representing the premium international version of this diecast giant. Finding an original 1980s Dancouga in Mint in Box (MIB) condition, complete with all its weapons, is a milestone for fans of complex transforming robots.

The series follows the exploits of a team of four soldiers: Shinobu Fujiwara, Sara Yuki, Masato Shikibu, and Ryo Shiba. They pilot the mecha Dancouga and fight to liberate the Earth from the alien invaders known as the Muge Zorbados empire. Dancouga is an example of a modular robot. However, unlike other similar series, where the individual components were of no use until they came together, Dancouga does not come together until halfway through the series. This means that, unlike the previously mentioned type of modular robot, where the components were generally of little use, the individual Cyber Beasts were effective in combat. Many of Dancouga’s story elements revolve around religion (primarily Christian, although the series borrows heavily from Taoist philosophy), and music. The “divine” theme is heavily present in most episodes. |

Created by Professor Hazuki, Dancouga was born from the union of the four mecha of the Jūsenki Tai. Shinobu Fujiwara
Pilot of the Eagle Fighter and squad leader of Dancougar.
Impatient, impulsive, he easily loses his mind and often gets into trouble. As the story unfolds, he will demonstrate extraordinary military acumen and intuition, emerging as a pilot and team leader.
Sara Yuki
Sara Yuki was assigned to the Far East Armored Unit a few days after Shinobu. Sara is known for her fiery temper and loves swimming and listening to music.
Masato Shikibu
He is the youngest member of the Cyber Beast Squad. An active, if somewhat immature, boy, his impressive stamina makes up for his lack of combat experience.
Ryo Shiba
Ryo is a calm man who practices spirituality according to the Chinese disciplines of Kenpou. After graduating from the military academy, he decided to wander the world to practice his Kenpou martial arts .
Generale Igor Ross
The general is the commander of the Zoodroid Patrol. It is Igor who gathers the four boys to make them a combat team and train them to pilot the robotic vehicles that together form the Dancougar.

Alan Igor is the son of General Ross Igor, the commander of the Dancougar team. Alan, who commands his squadron under the alias of Black Knight, pilots the Black Eagle fighter plane, a fighter capable of transforming into a robot.
Mugue Zolbado
Emperor of the invading alien people. Usually seen through a communication globe, giving orders to his generals.
Shapiro Keats
Commander of the Zorbados Armies. A US Army officer who went on the run during an enemy attack, was captured and tortured by the aliens and decided to spontaneously offer his services to Emperor Zorbados.
Luna Rossa
Shapiro’s second in command. The woman is sent by Muge Zorbados to keep him under control and verify his loyalty, but her feelings for him will end up compromising her mission.
