Il fichissimo del baseball: La Squadra Tobase
Prodotta dalla Tatsunoko nel 1977, la serie segue le peripezie di Kanta, un ragazzo con una passione sfrenata per il baseball nonostante l’opposizione della madre Kumiko. Insieme ai suoi sette tra fratelli e sorelle e al fedele cane parlante, Kanta forma una squadra familiare per onorare la memoria del padre, un ex campione di questo sport, dimostrando che l’unione e la determinazione possono superare ogni ostacolo.
L’archivio di Robot Vintage documenta l’originale produzione diecast della Takatoku dedicata a questa serie comica. In questa sezione analizziamo l’Homerbase, il caratteristico furgoncino itinerante per il ramen gestito dalla madre del protagonista. Si tratta di un modello in metallo molto singolare e ricercato, che testimonia la varietà e la creatività del merchandising Takatoku degli anni ’70, capace di trasformare anche elementi quotidiani in pezzi da collezione.

Il giovane Kanta, il protagonista della storia, è orfano di padre e vive assieme alla madre e altri 7 tra fratelli e sorelle, oltre al cane. Lui è molto entusiasta del baseball, tuttavia la madre ancora non permette ai figli nemmeno di parlarne in quanto è fermamente convinta che il marito sia morto accidentalmente proprio a causa di questo sport. Kanta però si allena segretamente all’alba, ed un giorno gli viene richiesto da parte d’un suo amico di giocare una partita come sostituto nella propria squadra: decide allora di formare una squadra di baseball assieme ai fratelli con la quale partecipa al campionato studentesco, dimostrando di avere la stessa stoffa del padre, un grande campione in quello stesso sport. Riuscirà a convincere anche la madre sulle sue buone intenzioni? |

Jiro Tobase
Secondo figlio. 6a elementare. Ha una corporatura robusta e una personalità rilassata e generosa. La sua posizione è catcher . Numero uniforme 2.
Ichiro Tobase
Figlio maggiore. Studente del 1° anno della scuola media (poi studente del 2° anno della scuola media). Alto e snello. Anche se può essere un po’ timido, è calmo e letteralmente il leader dei fratelli. La sua posizione è lanciatore . Numero uniforme 1.
Shiro Tobase
Quarto figlio. 4a elementare. È l’unico della sua famiglia che porta gli occhiali ed è uno studente serio. La posizione è seconda . Numero uniforme 4.
Itsuko Tobase
La mia figlia maggiore. Studente della scuola elementare di 3a elementare. La sua posizione è interbase , lanciatore destro e battitore destro. Numero uniforme 5.
Mitsuko Tobase
Seconda figlia. Studente della scuola elementare di 3a elementare (poi 4a elementare). La posizione è la prima . Numero uniforme 6.
Shichiro Tobase
Quinto figlio, 2a elementare, è un giocatore molto tecnico e veloce. Il suo numero di uniforme è il 7.
Yochiki Tobase
Sesto figlio e il più giovane, un bambino piagnucoloso e viziato. Poiché è ancora giovane, la sua tecnica non è all’altezza degli altri fratelli. Numero uniforme 8
Exsedol Folmo
Sebbene sia un cane, parla il linguaggio umano ed è persino un membro della squadra. Numero uniforme 10.

The young Kanta, the protagonist of the story, is an orphan and lives with his mother and 7 other brothers and sisters, as well as his dog. He is very enthusiastic about baseball, but his mother still does not allow her children to even talk about it because she is firmly convinced that her husband died accidentally because of this sport. However, Kanta secretly trains at dawn, and one day a friend of his asks him to play a game as a substitute on his team: he then decides to form a baseball team with his brothers with which he participates in the student championship, proving to have the same talent as his father, a great champion in that same sport. Will he be able to convince his mother of his good intentions? |

Kanta Tobase
The main character of the main story and the third son of the Tochi family. 5th grade. Although he is mischievous and clumsy, he is compassionate and has a strong sense of justice.Uniform number: 3
Jiro Tobase
Second child. 6th grade. Has a stocky build and a laid back, generous personality. His position is catcher. Uniform number 2.
Ichiro Tobase
Eldest son. 1st year middle school student (later 2nd year middle school student). Tall and slim. Although he can be a little shy, he is calm and literally the leader of the brothers. His position is pitcher. Uniform number 1.
Shiro Tobase
Fourth child. 4th grade. He is the only one in his family who wears glasses and is a serious student. The position is second. Uniform number 4.

My eldest daughter. 3rd grade elementary school student. Her position is shortstop, right-handed pitcher, and right-handed hitter. Uniform number 5.
