Getter Robot G: L’Evoluzione del Potere

Con l’avvento di Getter Robot G, la leggenda del Gattai si evolve, portando in scena robot ancora più potenti per affrontare l’Impero dei 100 Oni.

L’archivio diecast dedicato a questa serie vanta i prestigiosi modelli Popy GA-10, GA-11 e GA-12. Rispetto alla prima serie, questi pezzi mostrano un design più aggressivo e una qualità costruttiva che ha fatto scuola. Per il collezionista esigente, è fondamentale puntare alle edizioni Popy originali, superiori per finiture e accessori rispetto alle varianti Shogun Warriors. Non dimentichiamo le navette della serie Popynica e la maestosa Fordham Base, elementi che trasformano una semplice collezione in un vero museo del vintage giapponese.

SPACE ROBOT G- GETTER ROBOT G – 39 PUNTATE – 1975
La storie inizia esattamente dove finiva Getter Robot, dopo l’eroico sacrificio di Musashi Tomoe per sconfiggere l’Impero dei Dinosauri. La pace per i nostri eroi, però, è di breve durata, in quanto subito si affaccia un nuovo nemico, l’Impero dei 100 Oni (dei Demoni, nella versione televisiva italiana). Viene quindi reclutato il burbero Benkei Kuruma e la lotta ricomincia. Nella versione a fumetti, lo “stacco” tra le due serie è molto meno marcato, in quanto l’Impero dei 100 Oni fa capolino anche negli ultimi capitoli di Getter Robot ed addirittura aiuta il Team Getter a sbarazzarsi definitivamente di Gool.

Come per la serie Getter Robot, anche i diecast dei robot e dei veicoli di questa seconda serie sono stati realizzati da Popy. Tutti e 3 i robot sono stati anche venduti nella serie Shogun Warrior però con sostanziali differenze rispetto ai modelli Popy e quindi con un valore di mercato molto più basso.

Rio Nagare

È il pilota della navicella rossa denominata Aquila e protagonista principale della serie; si trova spesso a bisticciare con Hayato, il quale non condivide alcuni dei suoi atteggiamenti e prese di posizione. Abile sportivo, il padre è un importante maestro di arti marziali.

Hayato Jin

Un tipo solitario ed introverso, alto e con i capelli neri, porta una croce al collo in ricordo della madre defunta e suona l’armonica. È un buon calciatore e alpinista. Del terzetto è quello che riesce maggiormente a mantenere nervi saldi e chiarezza mentale durante il pericolo; è il pilota della navicella bianca denominata Giaguaro.

Benkei Kuruma

Pilota la navetta gialla e il Getta Poseidon.Giocatore di baseball, burbero e spaccone viene arruolato per ricostituire il trio Getta dopo la morte di Musashi.Durante la serie, nonostante la sua imbranataggine nelle varie azioni, dimostrerà sempre un gran coraggio nelle varie battaglie contro i mostri del regno dei demoni.

Profesor Saotome

A capo del laboratorio di difesa, è il creatore dei Getter Robot e lo scienziato che per primo ha studiato i raggi getta. Padre di Michiru, Genki e Tetsuto (morto nel primo episodio)

Genki Saotome

Fratellino di Michiru, indossa sempre un berrettino appoggiato di lato.

Mikiru Saotome

E’ la figlia del Professor Saotomè. Pilota la Command Machine, la navetta cha aiuta i pritagonista in battaglia

Impero demoniaco guidato dall’Imperatore Brai che intende conquistare la Terra impossessandosi dell’energia Getta scoperta dal prof. Saotomè.

The Popy GA-10, GA-11, and GA-12 series is a highlight for diecast enthusiasts, offering more complex builds and a striking aesthetic. While often confused with the international Shogun Warriors line, the original Japanese releases are the true prizes for serious archivists due to their superior chrome and detailing. Along with the Popynica vehicles and the Fordham Base, Getter G remains a pinnacle of 1970s toy engineering.

The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY .

As with the Getter Robot series, the diecast robots and vehicles of this second series were also made by Popy. All 3 robots were also sold in the Shogun Warrior series but with substantial differences compared to the Popy models and therefore with a much lower market value.

Rio Nagare

He is the pilot of the red spaceship called Eagle and the main protagonist of the series; he often finds himself arguing with Hayato, who does not share some of his attitudes and positions. A skilled athlete, his father is an important martial arts master.

Hayato Jin

A solitary and introverted guy, tall and with black hair, he wears a cross around his neck in memory of his deceased mother and plays the harmonica. He is a good soccer player and mountaineer. Of the trio, he is the one who is most able to maintain his nerves and mental clarity during danger; he is the pilot of the white spaceship called Giaguaro.

Benkei Kuruma

He pilots the yellow shuttle and the Getta Poseidon. A baseball player, gruff and boastful, he is recruited to reconstitute the Getta trio after Musashi’s death. During the series, despite his clumsiness in various actions, he will always demonstrate great courage in the various battles against the monsters of the demon kingdom.

Profesor Saotome

Head of the defense laboratory, he is the creator of the Getter Robots and the scientist who first studied the ray beams. Father of Michiru, Genki and Tetsuto (died in the first episode)

Genki Saotome

Michiru’s little brother, he always wears a cap placed on one side.

Mikiru Saotome

She is the daughter of Professor Saotome. She pilots the Command Machine, the shuttle that helps the protagonists in battle.

Empire of 100 Demons

Demonic empire led by Emperor Brai who intends to conquer the Earth by taking possession of the Getta energy discovered by Prof. Saotome.

Emperor Brai

Emperor of the Demon Realm. Cruel and ruthless, he aims to conquer the world.

Marshal Hidler

Dressed as a fascist soldier, he is the officer who fights on the front lines against the Getta Robot G and leads the attacks against the Saotome laboratory.
