Ikkyu-san: La Saggezza del Piccolo Bonzo
Prodotta dalla Toei Animation nel 1975, la serie segue le vicende del giovane monaco Ikkyu presso il tempio di Ankoku-ji. Il piccolo bonzo affronta ogni sfida quotidiana e risolve complicati enigmi grazie alla meditazione e alla sua straordinaria intelligenza, accompagnato dalla fedele bambola Teru Teru Bozu.

Ikkyusan il piccolo bonzo è una serie anime prodotta dalla Toei animation in 298 episodi e trasmessa da TV Asahi a partire dal 1975. In Italia è andato in onda a partire dal 1984 su alcune televisioni locali e su TMC. La storia è basata sulla vita reale del monaco buddhista di fede Zen Ikkyū Sōjun del XV secolo (vengono citati anche eventi riguardanti la Guerra Ōnin). La vicenda segue le avventure del piccolo bonzo Ikkyu durante il suo soggiorno all’Ankoku-ji, tempio situato nella prefettura di Hiroshima; il giovane monaco si basa esclusivamente sulla sua intelligenza e spirito per risolvere i vari problemi che via via gli si frappongono davanti, in special modo quelli di tipo umano (dai contadini disperati per la carestia ai commercianti avidi ed egoisti). Ogni qual volta egli pensa al modo migliore per affrontare gli ostacoli si siede nella posizione del loto ed entra in una profonda meditazione che gli consente di entrare in comunicazione col Buddha. |

Protagonista é un bambino di otto anni chiamato Ikkyu-san molto altruista e intelligente tanto che la madre decide di lasciarlo alle cure di un vecchio monaco buddista che vive lontano dal villaggio.Ikkyu-san molto sveglio per la sua età, attira le antipatie di un ricco mercante che cerca in tutti i modi di screditarlo agli occhi della comunità proponendogli degli enigmi che sembrerebbero irrisolvibili. Ma il piccolo non si perde mai d’animo e con molta traquillità riesce sempre a trovare la risposta ai giochini di parole che gli vengono proposti. |

Ikkyusan the Little Bonzo is an anime series produced by Toei Animation in 298 episodes and broadcast by TV Asahi starting in 1975. In Italy it was broadcast starting in 1984 on some local television stations and on TMC. The story is based on the real life of the 15th century Zen Buddhist monk Ikkyū Sōjun (events regarding the Ōnin War are also mentioned). The story follows the adventures of the little monk Ikkyu during his stay at Ankoku-ji, a temple located in Hiroshima prefecture; the young monk relies exclusively on his intelligence and spirit to solve the various problems that arise in front of him, especially those of a human nature (from farmers desperate due to famine to greedy and selfish merchants). Whenever he thinks of the best way to deal with obstacles, he sits in the lotus position and enters into a deep meditation that enables him to communicate with the Buddha. |

The protagonist is an eight-year-old boy named Ikkyu-san, who is very altruistic and intelligent, so much so that his mother decides to leave him in the care of an old Buddhist monk who lives far from the village. Ikkyu-san, who is very smart for his age, attracts the antipathy of a rich merchant who tries in every way to discredit him in the eyes of the community by proposing riddles that seem unsolvable. But the little boy never loses heart and with great calm always manages to find the answer to the word games that are proposed to him. |
