The Kagestar: L’Eroe che Danza con la Propria Ombra
Prodotta dalla Toei nel 1976, The Kagestar è una serie Tokusatsu che brilla per originalità e design visionario. La trama segue Kageoh Sugata, un giovane che, a seguito di un violento shock elettrico, vede la propria ombra materializzarsi e fondersi con lui, conferendogli poteri sovrumani. Caratterizzato da una sgargiante tuta rossa e un mantello “stelle e strisce” utilizzato come arma ipnotica, Kagestar combatte il crimine (e successivamente il malvagio Dr. Satan) affiancato dalla fedele Bellestar.
L’archivio di Robot Vintage mette in luce la particolarità del merchandising Popy per questa serie. Il pezzo forte è indubbiamente il Chogokin GA-45 di Kagestar: un modello unico nel suo genere, dotato di un sistema elettrico che permette di illuminare il petto dell’eroe quando posizionato sulla sua base. La collezione è completata dai veicoli di supporto in versione Popynica, come la Kageroller (PA-65), la Bellcar (PA-66) e l’imponente base volante Kageboshi (PA-73), tutti documentati con schede tecniche dettagliate per i collezionisti più esigenti.

Kagestar è un live action serie televisiva tokusatsu 1976-1977 prodotta dalla Toei in cui il giovane Kageoh Sugata (Naoki Tachibana) a causa di uno shock elettrico si fonde con la sua ombra acuisendo poteri speciali ed una notevole forza e velocità. Personaggio caratterizato da una appariscente tuta rossa e da un mantello pieno di stelle e striscie che fa ruotare vorticosamente creando una sorta di effetto ipnotico. Guida una speciale moto, la Kageroller, e vola utilizzando un bizzarro veicolo, il Kageboshi. E’ in grado di utilizzare anche la propria ombra come arma in battaglia. In origine combatte contro i sopprusi, successivamente nella serie compare un vero e proprio nemico: dr.satan. E’ assistito da Bellestar, la sua compagna di battaglie, vestita in modo simile al suo e che guida una moto chiamata Bellcar. |

Sono stati realizzati il protagonista ed i veicoli guidati nella serie da Kagestar e Bellstar. Kagestar è un diecast molto particolare in quanto dispone di un meccanismo elettrico alimentato dalla base espositiva che fa accendere una luce presente nel petto del protagonista.

The Kagestar: The Hero Who Dances with His Shadow
Produced by Toei in 1976, The Kagestar is a Tokusatsu series that stands out for its originality and visionary design. The plot follows Kageoh Sugata, a young man who, following a violent electric shock, sees his own shadow materialize and merge with him, granting him superhuman powers. Characterized by a flashy red suit and a “stars and stripes” cape used as a hypnotic weapon, Kagestar fights crime (and later the evil Dr. Satan) alongside his faithful companion Bellestar.
The Robot Vintage archive highlights the unique nature of Popy‘s merchandising for this series. The centerpiece is undoubtedly the GA-45 Kagestar Chogokin: a one-of-a-kind model featuring an electrical system that lights up the hero’s chest when placed on its display base. The collection is rounded out by Popynica support vehicles, such as the Kageroller (PA-65), the Bellcar (PA-66), and the massive Kageboshi flying base (PA-73), all documented with detailed technical data sheets for serious collectors.

Kagestar is a 1976-1977 live action tokusatsu television series produced by Toei in which the young Kageoh Sugata (Naoki Tachibana) due to an electric shock merges with his shadow, gaining special powers and remarkable strength and speed. Character characterized by a flashy red suit and a cape full of stars and stripes that he spins around creating a sort of hypnotic effect. He drives a special motorbike, the Kageroller, and flies using a bizarre vehicle, the Kageboshi. He is also able to use his own shadow as a weapon in battle. Originally he fights against oppression, later in the series a real enemy appears: Dr. Satan. He is assisted by Bellestar, his battle partner, dressed similarly to him and who drives a motorbike called Bellcar. |

The protagonist and the vehicles driven in the series by Kagestar and Bellstar have been created. Kagestar is a very particular diecast as it has an electric mechanism powered by the display base that turns on a light present in the chest of the protagonist.
