Medaman: Il Fantasma delle Sfere dell’Anima

In questa serie tokusatsu del 1976, la piccola Mami Kosaka riceve in dono un misterioso ciondolo contenente delle “Sfere dell’Anima”. Poco dopo, riceve la visita di Medaman, un buffo fantasma ricoperto di occhi, che reclama il pendente per poter finalmente accedere al paradiso dei fantasmi. Scoperto che le sfere possono essere ottenute solo compiendo buone azioni, Medaman si stabilisce a casa di Mami, cercando di diventare un fantasma generoso e utile agli umani.

Il merchandising diecast di questa serie è stato realizzato esclusivamente dalla ditta Takatoku. I modelli, come il Medaman ST e i bizzarri compagni Umi Bozu, Miira Otoko e Amano Jack, sono caratterizzati da un design giocoso e fedele allo spirito comico della serie. Pur essendo pezzi meno ricercati rispetto ai grandi robot trasformabili, rappresentano una testimonianza rara e affascinante della produzione Takatoku degli anni ’70, oggi custodita nell’archivio di Robot Vintage.


MEDAMAN -28 PUNTATE – 1977 Medaman (Guruguru Medaman) è una serie Tokusatsu trasmessa in Giappone nel 1976 composta da 30 episodi. E’ inedita al di fuori del Giapppone
Trama: Mami Kosaka è una ragazzina giapponese delle elementari. Dopo aver ricevuto in dono uno strano pendaglio con dentro delle piccole sfere riceve la visita di un buffo personaggio che si fa chiamare Medaman. Questo si presenta alla bambina come un fantasma reclamando il possesso del pendente spiegandole che al suo interno sono contenute delle “Sfere dell’anima” e che solo quando le avrà recuperate tutte potrà finalmente smettere di vagare sulla terra e spostarsi nel paradiso dei fantasmi. Inizialmente, assieme all’aiuto di altri fantasmi, tenta di impossessarsi con l’inganno del pendente, ma dopo aver scoperto che le sfere possono essere ottenute solo compiendo delle buone azioni, accetta l’aiuto di Mami trasferendosi a vivere nella sua casa ed impegnandosi a diventare buono e disponibile verso gli umani.

Medaman: The Ghost of the Soul Spheres

In this 1976 tokusatsu series, young Mami Kosaka is gifted a mysterious pendant containing “Soul Spheres.” Shortly after, she is visited by Medaman, a funny ghost covered in eyes, who claims the pendant to finally enter ghost paradise. Upon discovering that the spheres can only be obtained through good deeds, Medaman moves into Mami’s house, striving to become a generous ghost helpful to humans.

The diecast merchandising for this series was produced exclusively by the Takatoku company. The models, such as the Medaman ST and his bizarre companions Umi Bozu, Miira Otoko, and Amano Jack, feature a playful design faithful to the show’s comedic spirit. While less sought-after than major transforming robots, they represent a rare and fascinating example of Takatoku’s 1970s production, now preserved in the Robot Vintage archive.


MEDAMAN -28 EPISODE- 1977 Medaman (Guruguru Medaman) is a Tokusatsu series broadcast in Japan in 1976 consisting of 30 episodes. It is unreleased outside of Japan.
Plot: Mami Kosaka is a Japanese elementary school girl. After receiving a strange pendant with small spheres inside as a gift, she is visited by a funny character who calls himself Medaman. He introduces himself to the girl as a ghost, claiming possession of the pendant, explaining that inside it are “Soul Spheres” and that only when she has recovered them all will she finally be able to stop wandering the earth and move to the ghost paradise. Initially, together with the help of other ghosts, she tries to take possession of the pendant by deception, but after discovering that the spheres can only be obtained by doing good deeds, she accepts Mami’s help by moving to live in her house and committing herself to becoming good and helpful towards humans.

The diecast merchandising of the series was made by the company TAKATOKU .
