Kamen Rider Sky: L’Eroe Alato della Nuova Era

Trasmessa nel 1979, la serie segna il ritorno del franchise presentando Hiroshi Tsukuba, un giovane trasformato in Kamen Rider Sky (o Skyrider) per combattere la malvagia organizzazione Neo-Shocker. Questo eroe è celebre per essere il primo della saga capace di volare grazie alla tecnica “Sailing Jump” e per il supporto ricevuto dai suoi sette predecessori durante la serie.

L’archivio di Robot Vintage documenta la produzione diecast di Popy dedicata a questo capitolo. Il pezzo principale è il Chogokin GB-12 di Kamen Rider Sky, un modello ricercato prevalentemente in Giappone per la sua fedeltà al design originale. La linea dei veicoli include l’iconica motocicletta Sky Turbo nella serie Popynica (codice PB-95), dotata di meccanismi di sparo che la rendono un pezzo immancabile per i collezionisti della saga.


KAMEN RIDER – 98 PUNTATE – 1973
Kamen Rider è una serie televisiva Tokusatsu e la sesta delle Serie Di Kamen Rider. Ha lo stesso nome della prima serie(perché in origine doveva essere un remake),e viene solitamente chiamata New Kamen Rider o Skyrider per distinguerla dalla prima serie. Durante un picnic con i suoi amici,Hiroshi Tsukuba vede il Professor Keitaro Shido venire inseguito da degli uomini in calzamaglia mentre stava volando con il deltaplano e venne in suo soccorso. Subito dopo,Hiroshi scopre che i suoi amici sono stati uccisi prima di essere avvicinato da una ragazza di nome Midori Kano,che lo porta dal Prof.Shido che gli parla dell’organizzazione terroristica Neo-Shocker. Dopo aver scoperto il maldestro fotografo Imata Tonda curiosare vicino al suo rifugio,Hiroshi scopre che Shido è stato rapito da Chamaleonjin,il mostro che ha assassinato i suoi amici. Ma quando l’inseguimento finisce con Hiroshi rimasto ferito mortalmente,Shido convince il Generale Monster,che si è accorto del potenziale del ragazzo,di farlo diventare un cyborg per salvargli la vita. Successivamente,Hiroshi si risveglia all’interno della base di Neo-Shocker e scopre la sua nuova natura quando si trasforma accidentalmente in Skyrider. Con i suoi nuovi poteri,Skyrider sconfigge Chamaleonjin e accetta il suo nuovo corpo per combattere l’organizzazione. Per mantenersi in incognito durante le sue indagini su Neo-Shocker,Hiroshi fonda insieme a Shido il Shido Hang Glide Club. A un certo punto,Shido decise di trasferirsi all’estero per unirsi a un gruppo anti-Neo-Shocker ma ha fatto in modo che Hiroshi venisse aiutato dal vecchio amico Genjiro Tani,che è stato anche il vecchio maestro di Hiroshi. Nei primi episodi,l’eroe era semplicemente conosciuto come Kamen Rider ma i sette Rider precedenti gli diedero il nome di Skyrider per la sua abilità di volare. Da allora,Skyrider venne accompagnato per il resto della serie dal buffo supereroe dilettante GanGan G. Nel finale,Skyrider e gli altri sette Kamen Rider combatterono contro il Grande Capo della Neo-Shocker che sconfissero a fatica.

Skyrider è l’unico Kamen Rider che può volare, grazie al potere Sailing Jump. È anche equipaggiato con i D Eyes e il Belt Ear che amplificano la sua vista e l’udito, è un cyborg alimentato dal vento. Guida una modo chiamata Sky Turbo

Quando non è trasformato ha l’aspetto di un giovane con la passione per il volo in deltaplano e ha studiato Karate. Perse i suoi genitori e la sorella in un incidente d’auto.

Un fotoreporter imbranato che segue Skyrider sperando di avere una buona storia. Solitamente perde i sensi quando si trova di fronte un mostro di Neo-Shocker.

Kamen Rider Sky: The Winged Hero of the New Era

Aired in 1979, the series marks the franchise’s return, introducing Hiroshi Tsukuba, a young man transformed into Kamen Rider Sky (or Skyrider) to battle the evil organization Neo-Shocker. This hero is famous for being the first in the saga capable of flight through the “Sailing Jump” technique and for the support received from his seven predecessors during the series.

The Robot Vintage archive documents Popy‘s diecast production for this chapter. The centerpiece is the Kamen Rider Sky Chogokin GB-12, a model mainly sought after in Japan for its faithfulness to the character’s design. The vehicle line includes the iconic Sky Turbo motorcycle from the Popynica series (code PB-95), equipped with firing mechanisms that make it an essential piece for collectors of the saga.

Later, Hiroshi wakes up inside the Neo-Shocker base and discovers his new nature when he accidentally transforms into Skyrider. With his new powers, Skyrider defeats Chamaleonjin and accepts his new body to fight the organization. To remain incognito during his investigation into Neo-Shocker, Hiroshi and Shido form the Shido Hang Glide Club. At one point, Shido decided to move abroad to join an anti-Neo-Shocker group but made sure that Hiroshi was helped by his old friend Genjiro Tani, who was also Hiroshi’s old teacher. In the early episodes, the hero was simply known as Kamen Rider but the previous seven Riders gave him the name Skyrider for his ability to fly. From then on, Skyrider was accompanied for the rest of the series by the funny amateur superhero GanGan G. In the finale, Skyrider and the other seven Kamen Riders fought against the Big Boss of Neo-Shocker who they barely defeated.

Keitaro Shido
