Kikaider 01: Il Risveglio dell’Eroe Solare contro l’Organizzazione SHADOW

Sequel della celebre serie del 1972, Kikaider 01 segue le avventure di Ichiro, un potente androide creato dal Dr. Komyoji. A differenza del predecessore, Ichiro funziona a energia solare e annuncia il suo arrivo ai nemici suonando una tromba. La sua missione è contrastare la malvagia organizzazione SHADOW, guidata dal misterioso Big Shadow, che ha assorbito tra le sue fila anche il temibile Hakaider.

L’archivio di Robot Vintage mette in risalto la produzione diecast di Popy dedicata a questa serie. Protagonista assoluta è la Double Machine (codice PA-07), la motocicletta sidecar guidata dall’eroe. Questo pezzo della linea Popynica è estremamente raro e ricercato dai collezionisti di tutto il mondo, rappresentando uno degli apici della produzione metallica degli anni ’70 per valore e dettaglio.

Il noto esperto di robotica Dr. Komyoji ha creato un potente androide per proteggere il Giappone dalle forze del male. Quando la mente del Professor Gill nel corpo di Hakaider dà vita alla sua organizzazione malvagia chiamata SHADOW, l’androide del Dr. Komyoji, Kikaider 01, si risveglia per combattere Hakaider e i suoi mali.Hakaider ha tre assistenti, Red Hakaider, Blue Hakaider e Silver Hakaider. Insieme, escogitano vari piani per causare la distruzione, ma Kikaider 01 li ferma tutti, a volte con l’assistenza di Kikaider. Il loro obiettivo principale è catturare un giovane ragazzo di nome Akira.Dopo che i tentativi di Hakaider falliscono, appare un nuovo personaggio misterioso, Shadow Knight. Shadow Knight è membro di un’organizzazione malvagia e competitiva, SHADOW. Quando SHADOW si è rivelato più potente di Hakaider, Hakaider diventa involontariamente un membro di SHADOW. Successivamente è stato rivelato che Hakaider ha dentro di sé il cervello del Professor Gill (anche lui della serie TV Kikaider). Il professor Gill aveva progettato un potente robot e ne aveva tatuato i disegni sui suoi due figli: Akira e suo fratello Hiroshi. Nel corso della serie, SHADOW aiuta Gill a costruire il suo robot e Kikaider 01 lotta per fermarli.
