Robo Kid Beeton: Il Robot Pasticcione

Robo Kid Beeton (ろぼっ子ビートン) è una serie anime comica andata in onda in Giappone tra il 1976 e il 1977. La storia segue le avventure di Beeton, un robot spedito erroneamente a un ragazzino di nome Masao dal suo eccentrico nonno scienziato. Beeton non è il tipico robot eroico: è basso, rotondo e incredibilmente umano nei suoi difetti, spesso guidato dai suoi sentimenti più che dalla logica. La serie si concentra sulla rivalità amichevole tra Beeton e il suo antagonista, il robot burlone Buriburi, portando a gag slapstick e situazioni assurde che hanno divertito il pubblico dei più piccoli negli anni ’70.

A differenza di molti altri robot dell’epoca, il merchandising diecast di Beeton è stato realizzato dalla Bullmark. Il modello più celebre fa parte della linea Z-Gokin: si tratta del Beeton (Z-Gokin), un pezzo caratterizzato da un’elevata percentuale di metallo e un design estremamente fedele alla controparte animata. Bullmark ha prodotto anche il rivale Buriburi e altre varianti dei personaggi. Questi modelli sono oggi molto ambiti dai collezioni per la qualità costruttiva e i colori vivaci che catturano perfettamente l’essenza della serie.

Ma-chan vive in Giappone ed è uno studente delle scuole elementari. Un giorno riceve da uno zio americano un pacco, al suo interno trova dei pezzi per assemblare un robot. Decide quindi di costruisce questo robot insieme al signor Nobel, un inventore della città. Accidentalmente però confondono altre parti e all’improvviso una volta assemblato il robot prende vita ed assume una vera e propria personalità. Il suo nome è Beaton, nonostante sia un robot, è amante del cibo e molto socievole con i bambini. E’ anche in grado di volare nel cielo con razzi ed è dotato di una forza sovrumana. Il suo antagonista diventerà lo scorbutico Gaki Oyaji un vecchio vestito da generale nazista ed il suo assistente robotico Burkin.

Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta BULLMARK .

Robo Kid Beeton: The Clumsy Little Robot

Robo Kid Beeton (ろぼっ子ビートン) is a comedic anime series that aired in Japan between 1976 and 1977. The story follows the adventures of Beeton, a robot mistakenly sent to a young boy named Masao by his eccentric scientist grandfather. Beeton is not your typical heroic robot: he is short, round, and incredibly human in his flaws, often driven by his feelings rather than logic. The series focuses on the friendly rivalry between Beeton and his antagonist, the prankster robot Buriburi, leading to slapstick gags and absurd situations that entertained young audiences in the 1970s.

Unlike many other robots of that era, the diecast merchandising for Beeton was produced by Bullmark. Ma-chan lives in Japan and is an elementary school student. One day he receives a package from an American uncle, inside he finds some pieces to assemble a robot. He then decides to build this robot together with Mr. Nobel, an inventor from the city. However, they accidentally confuse other parts and suddenly once assembled the robot comes to life and takes on a real personality. His name is Beaton, despite being a robot, he loves food and is very sociable with children. He is also able to fly in the sky with rockets and is gifted with superhuman strength. His antagonist will become the grumpy Gaki Oyaji, an old man dressed as a Nazi general and his robotic assistant Burkin.

The diecast merchandising of the series was produced by the BULLMARK .

Series mostly unknown outside Japan. Bullmark made some nice diecasts, not very sought after. .
