Machine Man: L’Eroe delle Pleiadi

In questa serie tokusatsu del 1984, lo studente alieno Ken Takase difende la Terra dall’organizzazione “Tentacle”. Il suo mezzo principale è la Machine Dolphin, un’auto tecnologica che può trasformarsi per supportare l’eroe nelle sue missioni. Insieme al robottino Ballboy, Machine Man combatte per proteggere i bambini del mondo dalle folli invenzioni del Professor K.

Il merchandising diecast, prodotto da Popy e distribuito anche nella linea Godaikin, è celebre per la qualità dei materiali. Il pezzo forte è la Machine Dolphin (PC43), un’auto trasformabile complessa e affascinante, oggi considerata un vero “cult” tra i collezionisti di giocattoli vintage giapponesi per la sua rarità e il design unico.

Seiun Kamen Machineman è una serie televisiva tokusatsu giapponeseprodotto da Toei e creato da Shotaro Ishinomori and Company. Fu trasmessa dal 13 gennaio fino al 28 settembre 1984. La trama ruota intorno alle avventure di Nikku (alias Ken Takase), lo studente universitario dal pianeta Ivy (situato presso le Pleiadi) e il suo arrivo sulla Terra per studiare il comportamento dei terrestri. In realtà dovrà combattere contro la temibile organizzazione”Tentacle” con a capo il Professor K che ha lo scopo di eliminare tutti i bambini del mondo. Diversi aspetti della serie sembrano ispirati dalla serie americana Superman, anche se questo non è mai stato confermato da Ishinomori o da Toei. Sotto l’identità umana del giovane di nome Ken Takase, incontra Maki Hayama, una fotografa del Hitnewspaper, e la salva dalla caduta di un edificio. Più tardi, lei e Ken scoprono che la malvagia organizzazione “Tentacle” è dietro le demolizioni e le altre cattive azioni che stanno succedendo in tutto il mondo. Nick decide di prolungare la sua permanenza sulla Terra e di usare la sua tecnologia avanzata e poteri superiori per proteggere maki e i bambini della Terra sotto le spoglie di Machineman. Potenziato con armi di tecnologia avanzata, comincia la sua lotta contro i cyborg inviati dal Tentacolo per proteggere l’umanità.

In this 1984 tokusatsu series, alien student Ken Takase defends Earth from the “Tentacle” organization. His primary vehicle is the Machine Dolphin, a technological car that can transform to support the hero in his missions. Alongside the small robot Ballboy, Machine Man fights to protect the world’s children from Professor K’s mad inventions.

The diecast merchandising, produced by Popy and also distributed under the Godaikin line, is famous for its high-quality materials. A little-known series aimed at a young audience. The toys are not very sought-after, although the transforming car is quite rare.

Ballboy

He is Ken/Machineman’s best friend. A small flying robot that is shaped like a baseball. Generally, when fighting enemies, Machineman uses a baseball pitcher style technique, shooting it at enemies.

Maki Ayama
