Rubenkaiser: Il Bolide delle Piste
Gekisou! Rubenkaiser (激走! ルーベンカイザー) è una serie anime della Toei Animation (1977-1978). Racconta le sfide di Shunsuke Akizuki al volante della Rubenkaiser, un’auto dal design avveniristico. La serie è un cult per gli appassionati di motori e animazione vintage degli anni ’70.
Il merchandising Popinica Popy copre i codici dal PB-24 al PB-31. La vettura simbolo è la PB-25 Rubenkaiser, famosa per la sua configurazione a 6 ruote con le 4 ruote motrici posteriori. Il pezzo più pregiato e difficile da trovare resta il PB-31 Banba, il camion trasportatore della scuderia, considerato il modello più raro e costoso dell’intera collezione dedicata alla serie.

| LUBEN KEIZER – 17 PUNTATE – 1978 |
Durante la gara del Gran Premio del Giappone, il pilota di F1 Shunsuke Hayami ignora le istruzioni dell’allenatore e fa schiantare la sua macchina, provocando il licenziamento dalla squadra dopo la gara. Poi appare Ginjiro Arashi, un vecchio amico del padre di Shunsuke e direttore del Kaiser Team. Ginjiro sfrutta l’abilità di Shunsuke come pilota per una potenziale squadra. L’ auto da formula ad alte prestazioni del team Kaiser , la Ruben Kaiser Formula 1, è stata in realtà progettata dal padre di Shunsuke, Georg Kaiser. Shunsuke punta al mondo con questa macchina per realizzare il sogno del suo defunto padre. |

Durante l’anime compaiono diversi tipi di auto. Formula 1: a differenza della più famosa Tyrell P34 quest’auto aveva 4 ruote in trazione frontale e due posteriori. Mentre il design delle altre auto utilizzate hanno ad esempio preso spunto dalla BMW 3.0 CSL, dalla Porsche 936 e dall’Alpine A442 che erano molto in voga in quegli anni. |

Shunsuke Hayami
Il personaggio principale è un pilota ed è per metà giapponese con padre tedesco, Georg, e madre giapponese. Prima di diventare un pilota, ha lavorato come camionista per le consegne in una panetteria.
Arashi Ginjiro
Responsabile della squadra Kaiser. Nasconde l’occhio sinistro con una benda sull’occhio . Alleva rigorosamente il figlio del suo defunto amico, Shunsuke, affinché diventi un pilota a tutti gli effetti.
Arashi Hanae
La nipote di Arashi Ginjiro. Sebbene non sappia nulla di auto o di corse, misura il tempo di gara di Shunsuke.
Nell’anime non ci sono veri e propri nemici, quanto piuttosto antagonisti. Da citare sicuramente come rivali del protagonista sicuramente: Hideto Tachibana, Il pilota numero uno del Giappone e Jody Collins nato in una famiglia benestante, ottimo pilota che ha anche conseguito un dottorato in ingegneria.

During the Japanese Grand Prix race, F1 driver Shunsuke Hayami ignores his coach’s instructions and crashes his car, resulting in his dismissal from the team after the race. Ginjiro Arashi, an old friend of Shunsuke’s father and the director of the Kaiser Team, then appears. Ginjiro exploits Shunsuke’s ability as a driver for a potential team. The Kaiser team’s high-performance formula car, the Ruben Kaiser Formula 1, was actually designed by Shunsuke’s father, Georg Kaiser. Shunsuke sets his sights on the world with this car to fulfill his late father’s dream. |

Shunsuke Hayami
The main character is a pilot and is half Japanese with a German father, Georg, and a Japanese mother. Before becoming a pilot, he worked as a delivery truck driver at a bakery.
Arashi Ginjiro
Head of the Kaiser team. Hides his left eye with an eyepatch. Strictly raises his late friend’s son, Shunsuke, to become a full-fledged pilot.
Arashi Hanae
Arashi Ginjiro’s granddaughter. Although she knows nothing about cars or racing, she measures Shunsuke’s race times.
In the anime there are no real enemies, but rather antagonists. Definitely to be mentioned as rivals of the protagonist: Hideto Tachibana, the number one pilot in Japan and Jody Collins born into a wealthy family, an excellent pilot who also earned a doctorate in engineering.
