




Bismarck: Gli Sceriffi delle Stelle nella Nuova Frontiera
Prodotta nel 1984, Sei Jushi Bismarck (Sceriffi delle Stelle) unisce il fascino del western alla fantascienza spaziale. Il “Comando di Cavalleria” difende i coloni dai Dimensionali grazie al potente Bismarck, un robot pistolero capace di trasformarsi in astronave.
Il merchandising Popy/Bandai ha regalato ai collezionisti pezzi storici: il Bismarck DX (GC-22) trasformabile e la versione ST (GC-23) con il leggendario mantello. La linea include anche i veicoli Road Leon, Arrow Striker e il cavallo robotico Donatello.
In questa sezione di Robot Vintage, riscopriamo la storia dei protagonisti e analizziamo la produzione diecast d’epoca, completa di schede tecniche e cataloghi originali.

| SHERIFFI DELLE STELLE – 52 EPISODI – 1984 |
Nel 2060, gli esseri umani si sono sparsi nel cosmo e hanno colonizzato pianeti in tutto l’universo dando vita ad una vera e propria “Nuova Frontiera”. Al fine di proteggere gli abitanti di questo avamposto (chiamati “coloni”), viene creato il “Comando di Cavalleria”, un’organizzazione militare che ha il compito di mantenere la legge e l’ordine. In seno all’organizzazione,vengono reclutati quattro elementi di prima scelta che compongono la squadra degli “Sceriffi delle stelle”, a cui è affidato tale compito, alla guida di un immenso robot, Rombo. Il nemico principale del Comando di Cavalleria è la razza dei “Dimensionali”, dotati di una tecnologia bellica notevolmente superiore a quella umana. Lunica speranza per l’universo sono quindi gli “Sceriffi dele Stelle”. |

Modelli della serie realizzati prevalentemente dalla ditta Popy. Il robot è stato riprodotto in versione standard (con un caratteristico mantello in pelle) e in versione Deluxe trasformabile. Sono stati realizzati anche i 3 veicoli dei protagonisti.

| BISMARK / ROMBO |
Potente robot costruito per la difesa della Terra e per mantenere la pace nello spazio, quando è in modalità da battaglia il mecha design del robot ricorda un pistolero del vecchio west, spiccano infatti il mantello il cappello e le pistole. |
Per i viaggi spaziali e per gli spostamenti aerei solitamente i protagonisti utilizzano il robot trasformato in un’enorme astronave.









Mentre April rimane al comando di Rombo in modalità astronave, Gli altri protagonisti pilotano 3 veicoli: un cavallo meccanico in grado di volare, un’auto da corsa ed un jet interstellare.




Richard Lancelot
Lancelot ha 18 anni, è di origine Scozzese ed è un agente speciale dei servizi segreti Britannici. Proprio questi hanno fatto sì che entrasse a far parte dell’equipaggio della Bismarck. La sua abilità come fantino e spadaccino lo hanno reso “leggendario”. Inoltre gli viene generalmente riconosciuta la capacità di mantenersi lucido e razionale in qualsiasi circostanza; ciò lo rende capace di prendere le decisioni giuste anche nelle situazioni più difficili.

Shinji Hikari
Asso del volante, Shinji è ottimista e pieno di energia, ma non di rado si comporta in modo impulsivo. Per via della sua abilità nel volo, ha seguito le orme del padre divenendo pilota militare ma in seguito ha lasciato l’esercito perché insofferente alla rigida disciplina, ed ha intrapreso una fortunata carriera di pilota automobilistico. Entra a far parte della squadra per la sua bravura nella guida oltre che delle auto anche dei robot.

Bill Willcox
Bill Willcox, è un Americano di soli 16 anni ma è già un famoso pilota di caccia ed un pistolero dalla mira quasi infallibile. Nonostante ciò si rivela un ragazzo estroverso e gioviale, se non un vero e proprio “giullare” in seno al gruppo.

April
Francesina di 15 anni, è figlia di Charles Louvre, l’ingegnere a capo del progetto Bismarck. Genio dei computer,ha una mente molto tecnica ed analitica, e con la sua intelligenza e le sue conoscenze svolge un ruolo spesso determinante nelle missioni della Bismarck.

Charles Louvre
Brillante scienziato un politico molto rispettato ed anche il padre di Marianne. Ha diretto il progetto Bismarck per la creazione di una nave spaziale in grado di trasformarsi in un potente robot da battaglia,

Generale Domes
Il generale Domes è il sovrano della parte orientale di Ganimede ed ex compagno del padre di Shinji. Shinji spesso gli si avvicina per saperne di più su suo padre, cosa a cui Domes si rifiuta di dirlo ogni volta.


Dimensionali
Alieni simili in tutto e per tutto agli esseri umani, tranne che per le orecchie a punta ed i canini pronunciati. Il loro pianeta d’origine era andato distrutto in una guerra fratricida così scelgono di lasciarlo per partire alla conquista del Sistema Solare. La loro tecnologia è molto avanzata e la loro società è ispirata ad un modello di disciplina ed obbedienza

Hyuza
Hyuza è il cancelliere dei Deathcula ed ha l’aspetto inquietante di un grande automa dal volto demoniaco

Generale Perios
Perios è uno stratega freddo e calcolatore, formidabile pilota e pistolero, ed è abile nel manipolare gli altri. Inoltre è estremamente ambizioso, impavido e sorprendentemente tenace.

Generale Zatola
Zatola indossa un casco grottesco, e nel rispetto del suo ruolo che lo vede uno dei principali antagonisti della serie, è il comandante che dirige le operazioni d’invasione di Ganimede. Comanda intere legioni, ma dietro i suoi ordini vi sono le disposizioni di Hyuza.


Bismarck: The Star Sheriffs of the New Frontier
Produced in 1984, Sei Jushi Bismarck (known as Saber Rider) blends Western themes with space sci-fi. The “Cavalry Command” protects colonists from the Dimensional threat using the Bismarck, a gunslinger-inspired robot that transforms into a spaceship.
The Popy/Bandai toy line features the iconic Bismarck DX (GC-22) and the ST (GC-23) version with its signature cloak. The collection is completed by the team’s vehicles: Road Leon, Arrow Striker, and the robotic horse Donatello.

| BISMARK – 52 EPISODE – 1984 |
In 2060, humans have spread across the cosmos and colonized planets throughout the universe, creating a true “New Frontier.” In order to protect the inhabitants of this outpost (called “colonists”), the “Cavalry Command” is created, a military organization tasked with maintaining law and order. Four top-notch elements are recruited from within the organization to form the “Star Sheriffs” team, who are entrusted with this task, leading an immense robot, Rombo. The main enemy of the Cavalry Command is the “Dimensional” race, equipped with a war technology that is significantly superior to that of humans. The only hope for the universe is therefore the “Star Sheriffs.” |

The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY

Models of the series made mainly by the Popy company. The robot has been reproduced in a standard version (with a characteristic leather cape) and in a transformable Deluxe version. The 3 vehicles of the protagonists have also been made.

Powerful robot built to defend the Earth and maintain peace in space, when in battle mode the robot’s mecha design recalls a gunslinger from the old west, with its cloak, hat and pistols standing out. |
For space travel and air travel, the protagonists usually use the robot transformed into a huge spaceship.









While April remains in command of Rombo in spaceship mode, the other protagonists pilot 3 vehicles: a mechanical horse capable of flying, a racing car and an interstellar jet.




Richard Lancelot
Lancelot is 18 years old, of Scottish origin and a special agent of the British secret services. It is precisely these that made him become part of the crew of the Bismarck. His skill as a jockey and swordsman have made him “legendary”. Furthermore, he is generally recognized for the ability to remain lucid and rational in any circumstance; this makes him capable of making the right decisions even in the most difficult situations.

Shinji Hikari
An ace pilot, Shinji is optimistic and full of energy, but often behaves impulsively. Because of his skill in flying, he followed in his father’s footsteps by becoming a military pilot, but later left the army because he could not stand the rigid discipline, and began a successful career as a racing driver. He joins the team because of his skill in driving not only cars but also robots.

Bill Willcox
Bill Willcox, is an American of only 16 years but is already a famous fighter pilot and a gunslinger with an almost infallible aim. Despite this, he turns out to be an extroverted and jovial boy, if not a real “jester” within the group.

April
A 15-year-old French girl, she is the daughter of Charles Louvre, the engineer in charge of the Bismarck project. A computer genius, she has a very technical and analytical mind, and with her intelligence and knowledge she often plays a decisive role in the missions of the Bismarck.

Charles Louvre
Brilliant scientist, highly respected politician and also Marianne’s father. He directed the Bismarck project to create a spaceship capable of transforming into a powerful battle robot,

General Domes
General Domes is the ruler of the Eastern part of Ganymede and a former comrade of Shinji’s father. Shinji often approaches him to learn more about his father, to which Domes refuses to say every time.


Dimensional
Aliens similar in every way to humans, except for their pointed ears and pronounced canines. Their home planet was destroyed in a fratricidal war so they choose to leave it to go and conquer the Solar System. Their technology is very advanced and their society is inspired by a model of discipline and obedience

Hyuza
Hyuza is the chancellor of the Deathcula and has the disturbing appearance of a large automaton with a demonic face.

General Perios
Perios is a cold and calculating strategist, a formidable pilot and gunman, and is skilled at manipulating others. He is also extremely ambitious, fearless, and surprisingly tenacious.

General Zatola
Zatola wears a grotesque helmet, and in keeping with his role as one of the main antagonists of the series, he is the commander who directs the invasion operations of Ganymede. He commands entire legions, but behind his orders are the provisions of Hyuza.
