Gorilla Force: Operazione Srungle
Srungle (Gorilla Force) è una serie sci-fi del 1983 composta da 50 puntate. La storia è ambientata in un lontano futuro in cui l’umanità ha colonizzato asteroidi e piccoli pianeti strutturati come veri e propri stati. Nella Federazione di Garrick opera la “Gorilla Force”, un’unità speciale il cui compito è quello di riportare la legalità combattendo l’organizzazione criminale “Crimine”, un avversario pericoloso e senza scrupoli che punta al controllo completo delle colonie.
Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta TAKARA. L’anime non riscosse un particolare successo, principalmente a causa di un mecha design poco accattivante e una trama considerata poco coinvolgente. Il modello principale è il Super Superior, un robot potente in grado di trasformarsi in astronave e in una sorta di carro armato. A differenza di altre serie prodotte da Popy o Clover, i modelli diecast di Srungle realizzati da Takara risultano oggi comuni sul mercato e sono poco ricercati dai collezionisti.

La storia è ambientata in un lontano futuro dove l’umanità ha fondato colonie nello spazio strutturate come veri e propri stati. Gli insediamenti umani sono disseminati su una miriade di asteroidi e piccoli pianeti. Una di queste colonie è quella della Federazione di Garrick, dove opera un gruppo, la Gorilla Force, il cui compito è quello di riportare, dove richiesto, la legalità combattendo i delinquenti. Iniziano così i primi scontri con l’organizzazione Crimine, dei pericolosi avversari con un enorme potenziale e che non si fa scrupoli per di riuscire nei propri malvagi piani. Vork-rezor realizza dunque un colpo di mano che gli dà il controllo completo dell’organizzazione, puntando poi all’eliminazione della Gorilla Force. Durante una manifestazione pubblica il dottor Mandi viene ucciso dal braccio destro di Vork-rezor, il comandante Gelhalt; nella puntata successiva viene scoperta e distrutta Base Gorilla e nell’attacco muore Superstar (sacrificatosi per permettere agli altri di mettersi in salvo); nella stessa azione vengono feriti Mago e Venus (quest’ultima in modo tanto grave che sarà costretta ad abbandonare la squadra). E’ il momento più buio per la Gorilla Force, ma le cose stanno per migliorare in maniera decisiva. Una sezione femminile dell’esercito regolare, soprannominata “Occhi di gatto”, consegna ai superstiti il cervello e le conoscenze del dottor Mandi, che potrà da ora continuare a guidarli, dall’interno di Minerva, come se fosse vivo; una componente di questa sezione femminile entra nei ranghi della Gorilla Force, sostituendo Venus, e per finire, in una successiva missione, si unisce al gruppo un pilota che come abilità sta alla pari con Jet, di nome Sugar. Ciascun componente del gruppo ha il proprio mezzo di trasporto, munito di doppia modalità: da trasporto e da combattimento; a disposizione del gruppo c’è anche l´astronave-base, chiamata Superior; durante il corso della storia il gruppo ha ampliato il proprio parco mezzi, aggiungendo a Superior il Destriero Volante (che unendosi a Superior forma Super-Superior, con maggior potenza e velocità) e un’astronave ancora più grande, in grado di mimetizzarsi da meteorite. Sia i mezzi della Gorilla Force che quelli di Crimine utilizzano normali armi ad energia; solo occasionalmente vengono usate armi particolari. Oltre a quelle classiche (astronavi e piccoli mezzi da combattimento) Crimine utilizza però altri tipi di armi, ossia dei giganteschi cyborg e delle nubi corrosive. Verso la fine della serie vengono scoperti degli antichi insediamenti, forse di origine aliena, nei quali viene ritrovato un robot gigantesco, che entrerà a far parte dell’arsenale di Crimine: la sua potenza è tale da tenere testa senza difficoltà a Super-Superior! |
Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta 
Anime che non ha riscosso particolare successo a causa dei mecha pocco accattivanti ed una trama poco coinvolgente. I modelli sono comuni e poco ricercati.
Attualmente i diecast della ditta TAKARA non sono ancora stati catalogati nell’ Enciclopedia dei Diecast. Il volume è in fase di realizzazione.

In contrasto con il suo aspetto robusto, caratterizzato dalla lunga barba lunga fino al petto, è un maestro della meccanica.
Super Star & Sugar
Super Star, pilota esperto. muore in una tragica battaglia nell‘episodio 26, quando decide di schiantarsi contro un robot nemico che ha attaccato la Base dei protagonisti.
Sugar prende il posto di Super Star dopo la sua morte.
CRIMINE
Organizzazione paramilitare al cui comando si alternano durante l’anime diversi generali. Votata alla conquista del potere utilizzando le armi della distruzione e degli attentati.
Gorilla Force: Mission Srungle
Srungle (Gorilla Force) is a 1983 sci-fi series consisting of 50 episodes. The story is set in a distant future where humanity has colonized asteroids and small planets structured as actual states. In the Garrick Federation, the “Gorilla Force” operates—a special unit tasked with restoring legality by fighting the criminal organization known as “Crime,” a dangerous and unscrupulous adversary aiming for complete control of the colonies.
The Diecast merchandising for the series was produced by the TAKARA company. The anime did not achieve significant success, mainly due to an unattractive mecha design and a plot considered unengaging. The main model is the Super Superior, a powerful robot capable of transforming into a spaceship and a sort of tank. Unlike other series produced by Popy or Clover, the Srungle diecast models made by Takara are relatively common on the market today and are not highly sought after by collectors.

The story is set in a distant future where humanity has founded colonies in space structured as real states. Human settlements are scattered across a myriad of asteroids and small planets. One of these colonies is that of the Garrick Federation, where a group, the Gorilla Force, operates, whose task is to restore, where required, legality by fighting criminals. Thus begin the first clashes with the Crimine organization, dangerous adversaries with enormous potential and who have no qualms about succeeding in their evil plans. Vork-rezor then carries out a coup that gives him complete control of the organization, aiming to eliminate Gorilla Force. During a public demonstration, Dr. Mandi is killed by Vork-rezor’s right-hand man, Commander Gelhalt; in the following episode, Gorilla Base is discovered and destroyed, and Superstar dies in the attack (having sacrificed himself to allow the others to escape); in the same action, Mago and Venus are injured (the latter so seriously that she will be forced to abandon the team). It is the darkest moment for the Gorilla Force, but things are about to improve dramatically. A female section of the regular army, nicknamed “Cat’s Eyes”, gives the survivors the brain and knowledge of Dr. Mandi, who can now continue to guide them, from inside Minerva, as if he were alive; a member of this female section joins the ranks of the Gorilla Force, replacing Venus, and finally, in a subsequent mission, a pilot who in terms of skill is on par with Jet, named Sugar, joins the group. Each member of the group has their own means of transport, equipped with a dual mode: transport and combat; the group also has the basic spaceship, called Superior; during the course of the story the group has expanded its fleet of vehicles, adding to Superior the Flying Steed (which, when joined with Superior, forms Super-Superior, with greater power and speed) and an even larger spaceship, capable of camouflaging itself as a meteorite. Both Gorilla Force and Crimine’s vehicles use normal energy weapons; only occasionally are special weapons used. In addition to the classic ones (spaceships and small combat vehicles), Crimine uses other types of weapons, namely gigantic cyborgs and corrosive clouds. Towards the end of the series, some ancient settlements are discovered, perhaps of alien origin, where a gigantic robot is found, which will become part of Crimine’s arsenal: its power is such that it can easily compete with Super-Superior! |
The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the company
Anime that has not achieved particular success due to the unattractive mecha and a not very engaging plot. The models are common and not very sought after.
Currently the company’s diecasts TAKARA have not yet been catalogued in the Diecast Encyclopedia. The volume is in progress.

Super Star & Sugar
Super Star, an expert pilot, dies in a tragic battle in episode 26, when he decides to crash into an enemy robot that attacked the protagonists’ base .
Sugar takes over from Super Star after his death.

Paramilitary organization whose command alternates during the anime between different generals. Dedicated to the conquest of power using the weapons of destruction and attacks.
