ULTRASEVEN – Il Settimo Membro della Ultra Guard
Seguito diretto di Ultraman, la serie segue le gesta di Dan Moroboshi, identità umana di Ultraseven, un alieno della Nebulosa M78 giunto per difendere la Terra. Insieme alla Ultra Guard, combatte mostri e invasori alieni, trasformandosi grazie ai suoi Ultra-Eye. La serie è passata alla storia anche per aver introdotto King Joe, il primo robot componibile mai apparso sul piccolo schermo.
Il merchandising diecast fu realizzato dalla POPY. Oltre ai modelli Chogokin del protagonista (GA-96 e GC-07) e del nemico King Joe (GA-94), Popy riprodusse gran parte della flotta Ultra Guard: gli Ultra Hawk 1 (PB-74) e 3 (PB-75), la Pointer (PB-76) e il Magmalizer (PB-77). Questi modelli rappresentano testimonianze fondamentali della produzione Popy degli anni ’70 dedicata alla saga degli Ultra.

| ULTRASEVEN – 49 PUNTATE – 1967 |
Ultraseven (Urutora Sebun) è una serie televisiva giapponese prodotta dal 1967 al 1968, che ha per protagonista un supereroe immaginario che compare nell’omonima serie Tokusatsu. Ultraseven, creata dalla Tsuburaya Productions, si pone come primo sequel di Ultraman. La popolarità del personaggio di Ultraseven diventò così grande che fece almeno un cameo in ciascuna serie degli Ultraman successivi. Dopo gli eventi della prima serie di Ultraman, la terra si ritrova di nuovo sotto la minaccia di mostri giganti (kaiju) e alieni (seijin). Per combatterli, la Forza di Difesa Terrestre crea la Ultra Guard, una squadra di 6 membri élite che usano armi e veicoli futuristici. Alla squadra si unirà il misterioso Dan Moroboshi, che si rivelerà essere un alieno della Nebulosa M-78 di nome Ultraseven che grazie agli occhiali Ultra-Eye può diventare gigantesco e combattere i mostri. |

Personaggio molto amato in Giappone, ha generato molto merchandising. Popy riprodusse il chogokin del protagonista, i veicoli che compaiono nella serie, e per la prima volta venne realizzato anche il modello di un robot, il King Joe, nemico che appare nella seire, una sorta di predecessore dei vari robot scomponibili che di lì a poco inizieranno a comparire nelle serie del genere Sentai. Toys non molto ricercati e dai prezzi contenuti.

Un soldato della Terra della Luce nella Nebulosa M78 , fu originariamente inviato per mappare la Via Lattea, dove alla fine visitò un pianeta che lo interessava, la nostra stessa Terra. Alla sua prima visita, Ultraseven salva la vita ad uno scalatore di montagna chiamato Jiro Satsuma, che era quasi precipitato. Invece di fondere i due corpi come ha fatto Ultraman con Hayata nella serie precedente, Ultraseven assume le sembianze di Jiro ma con degli abiti più casual e si rinomina Dan Moroboshi per evitare confusione. Dan si unisce alla Ultra Guard come sesto membro, ma all’ignaro dei suoi compagni, salverà spesso la situazione trasformandosi nella sua forma originale di Ultraseven, che verrà considerato il settimo membro onorario dell’Ultra Guard. |

King Joe è un robot alieno apparso per la prima volta negli episodi 14 e 15. Si tratta del primo robot componibile della storia delle serie tv e per questo è diventato uno dei mecha più famosi della serie Ultraman, e da allora ha fatto molte altre apparizioni nel franchise

ULTRASEVEN – The Seventh Member of the Ultra Guard
A direct sequel to Ultraman, the series follows Dan Moroboshi, the human identity of Ultraseven, an alien from the M78 Nebula who arrived to defend Earth. Along with the Ultra Guard, he fights monsters and alien invaders, transforming using his Ultra-Eye. The series is also historic for introducing King Joe, the first combining robot ever seen on television.
Diecast merchandising was produced by POPY. In addition to the Chogokin models of the hero (GA-96 and GC-07) and the enemy King Joe (GA-94), Popy recreated most of the Ultra Guard fleet: Ultra Hawk 1 (PB-74) and 3 (PB-75), the Pointer (PB-76), and the Magmalizer (PB-77). These models represent essential examples of Popy’s 1970s production dedicated to the Ultra saga.

Ultraseven (Urutora Sebun) is a Japanese television series produced from 1967 to 1968, featuring a fictional superhero who appears in the Tokusatsu series of the same name. Ultraseven, created by Tsuburaya Productions, is the first sequel to Ultraman. The popularity of the Ultraseven character became so great that he made at least one cameo appearance in each of the subsequent Ultraman series. After the events of the first Ultraman series, the Earth is once again under threat from giant monsters (kaiju) and aliens (seijin). To fight them, the Earth Defense Force creates the Ultra Guard, a team of 6 elite members who use futuristic weapons and vehicles. The team will be joined by the mysterious Dan Moroboshi, who will reveal himself to be an alien from the M-78 Nebula named Ultraseven who, thanks to the Ultra-Eye glasses, can become gigantic and fight monsters. |

A much-loved character in Japan, he has generated a lot of merchandising. Popy reproduced the protagonist’s chogokin, the vehicles that appear in the series, and for the first time a model of a robot was also made, King Joe, an enemy that appears in the series, a sort of predecessor of the various decomposable robots that will soon begin to appear in the Sentai series. Toys that are not very sought after and at reasonable prices.

A soldier from the Land of Light in the M78 Nebula, he was originally sent to map the Milky Way, where he eventually visited a planet that interested him, our own Earth. On his first visit, Ultraseven saves the life of a mountain climber named Jiro Satsuma, who had almost fallen to his death. Instead of fusing his two bodies like Ultraman did with Hayata in the previous series, Ultraseven takes on the appearance of Jiro but with more casual clothing and renames himself Dan Moroboshi to avoid confusion. Dan joins the Ultra Guard as the sixth member, but unbeknownst to his comrades, he will often save the day by transforming into his original form as Ultraseven, who will be considered the honorary seventh member of the Ultra Guard. |

King Joe is an alien robot who first appeared in episodes 14 and 15. He was the first modular robot in the history of the TV series and for this reason he became one of the most famous mecha in the Ultraman series, and has made many other appearances in the franchise since then.
