ULTRAMAN TARO – 53 PUNTATE – 1973
Kotaro Higurashi era un giovane che voleva diventare un pugile professionista, ma il destino aveva altri piani per lui. Dopo essere stato fatto precipitare dal mostro vegetale Astromons, i cinque Ultra Fratelli(Ultraman Hayata, Zoffy, Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack e Ultraman Ace) portarono il corpo di Kotaro nella Nebulosa M78 a tanti anni nel passato. Fu la che l’Ultra Madre fuse Kotaro con suo figlio Ultraman Taro che diventerà il sesto Ultra Fraatello. Prima di fondersi con Kotaro, Taro spese molti anni ad affinare i suoi poteri e dopo la fusione, Kotaro venne rimandato sulla Terra nel presente come ospite umano di Taro mentre Astromons stava devastando la città e Kotaro si trasformò per la prima volta in Ultraman Taro. Dopo aver distrutto Astromons, il giovane si uni alla squadra ZAT, formata per combattere un’ennesima invasione di kaiju. Ultraman Taro e ZAT riuscirono a sconfiggere molti mostri e alieni che minacciavano la Terra e anche, ogni tanto, con l’aiuto dei cinque Ultra Fratelli. Dopo aver sconfitto Samekujira e l’Alieno Valkie, Kotaro mostrò agli altri Ultramen che non voleva essere più l’ospite di Taro in modo da poter mantenere la sua umanità. Così Kotaro divenne uno dei pochi eroi terrestri ad aver rotto il suo legame con un Ultraman. A differenza degli altri Ultraman, Taro possiede un paio di corna(ereditate da suo padre, l’Ultra Padre) ed è il più forte dei sei Ultra Fratelli, riuscendo a sconfiggere il kaiju Tyrant che mise fuori combattimento i cinque Ultra precedenti. Anche Taro ha un color timer sul petto che indica i pochi minuti in cui può stare nella sua vera forma prima che la sua energia si esaurisca.

After being knocked down by the plant monster Astromons, the five Ultra Brothers (Ultraman Hayata, Zoffy, Ultraseven, Ultraman Jack, and Ultraman Ace) took Kotaro’s body to the M78 Nebula many years in the past. It was there that Ultra Mother fused Kotaro with her son Ultraman Taro who would become the sixth Ultra Brother. Before fusing with Kotaro, Taro spent many years honing his powers and after the fusion, Kotaro was sent back to Earth in the present as Taro’s human host while Astromons was devastating the city and Kotaro transformed into Ultraman Taro for the first time. After destroying Astromons, the young man joined the ZAT team, formed to fight off yet another kaiju invasion. Ultraman Taro and ZAT managed to defeat many monsters and aliens that threatened the Earth and also, occasionally, with the help of the five Ultra Brothers. After defeating Samekujira and the Alien Valkie, Kotaro showed the other Ultramen that he no longer wanted to be Taro’s host so he could maintain his humanity. Thus Kotaro became one of the few Earth heroes to have broken his bond with an Ultraman. Unlike the other Ultramen, Taro has a pair of horns (inherited from his father, Ultra Father) and is the strongest of the six Ultra Brothers, managing to defeat the kaiju Tyrant that knocked out the previous five Ultramen. Taro also has a color timer on his chest that indicates the few minutes he can stay in his true form before his energy runs out.
