ZAMBOT 3 – La tragedia della famiglia Jin
Zambot 3 segna l’inizio del realismo nel genere robotico di Tomino. La serie è celebre per il design ispirato alle armature samurai e per una trama che non risparmia colpi di scena drammatici. In Italia, fu la prima serie robotica a mantenere le sigle originali giapponesi, contribuendo a creare un’aura di culto attorno ai piloti dello Zambot.
I giocattoli della CLOVER rappresentano un pezzo di storia del diecast. Dalla complessità del set Zambot Gasshin alla rarità dello Zambot Ace, questi modelli sono il simbolo di un’epoca d’oro. Sebbene il volume dedicato alla Clover sia ancora in fase di realizzazione, l’archivio Robotvintage continua a fornire anteprime esclusive per gli appassionati del genere.

| ZANBOT 3 – 23 PUNTATE – 1981 |
Zambot 3 è una serie anime robotica giapponese prodotta dalla Sunrise. La serie, composta di 23 episodi, è stata realizzata nel 1977 sotto la regia di Yoshiyuki Tomino, che ne è anche l’autore, e vede il character design di Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, il mecha design di Ryoji Hirayama e le musiche di Takeo Watanabe. Trasmesso per la prima volta in Italia nell’estate 1981 sulla rete privata regionale Tele Reporter, Zambot 3 è stato il primo cartone robotico apparso sulla tv italiana con le sigle musicali di apertura e di chiusura originali. Al contrario infatti dei vari Daitarn 3, Mazinga Z, UFO Robot Goldrake, Jeeg robot d’acciaio o Daltanious, la sigla nell’edizione italiana della serie è rimasta in lingua giapponese. Una famiglia di alieni chiamata Jin, vistosi il pianeta natale Bial conquistato dalla furia delle malvagie armate di Gaizok, decide di rifugiarsi sullaTerra, pianeta simile al proprio, e si stabilisce in Giappone, durante l’epoca Edo. Duecento anni dopo i loro discendenti, rimasti sul pianeta, dovranno affrontare di nuovo gli stessi invasori per cercare di salvare almeno questa seconda patria. Una lotta dura tra l’indifferenza dei terrestri e la spietatezza degli alieni nemici, che porterà i nostri eroi a sacrificarsi per la pace dell’universo. |

I modelli in metallo realiizati dalla ditta Clover sono tutt’oggi molto ricercati. Lo Zambot Dx in scatola singola è sicuramente nella Top 10 dei diecast più costosi da comprare, ma anche le versioni internedie e la piccola sono molto apprezzate anche se più semplici da trovare. Capitolo a parte è lo zambot Ace St, nonostante le piccole dimensioni è estremamente raro e costoso da trovare.
Attualmente i diecast della ditta CLOVER non sono ancora stati catalogati nell’ Enciclopedia dei Diecast. Il volume è in fase di realizzazione.

Kappei Jin
12 anni, il protagonista della storia nonché il più giovane e coraggioso pilota dello Zambot 3 e dello Zam-bird. A causa del suo orgoglio e testardaggine fa fatica a cooperare con gli altri due piloti, più grandi di lui. È l’ultimo discendente della famiglia aliena Jin rifugiatasi sulla terra dopo la conquista del loro pianeta d’origine. Dovrà combattere non solo contro i nemici ma anche contro il razzismo strisciante della popolazione terrestre. Riuscirà, con molte difficoltà, a riportare la pace sull’intero universo. Appassionato di motociclette.
Ochuta Kamie
15 anni, il secondo pilota dello Zambot e primo pilota dello Zam-bull, la parte centrale di Zambot. Cugino di Kappei, ha la frangia di capelli che gli copre l’occhio sinistro; proviene da Tokyo ed è molto bravo in matematica (il suo sogno è quello di diventare ingegnere elettronico), ha spesso buone idee e i suoi consigli sono sempre ben meditati. In principio ha un forte scontro con Kappei a causa dei rispettivi caratteri antitetici.
Keiko Kamikita
14 anni, terzo pilota dello Zambot e primo pilota dello
Zam-base, la parte corrispondente alle gambe di Zambot. Unica ragazza del gruppo, indossa dei pantaloncini corti. Ama i cavalli ed è appassionata di tiro con l’arco, riflessiva e molto matura per la sua età: assieme ad Uchuta perirà in un attacco-kamikaze
Gaizok
E’ l’entità che guida le truppe d’invsione sulla Terra. Alla fine si scoprirà che fu costruito dagli abitanti di Gaizok ed è un super computer dell’ottava generazione. E’ stato creato per indivisuare ed interagire con ogni creatura animata da cattivi propositi ed a causa del male che stava oscurando le loro anime ha dovuto sterminare gli abitanti del pianeta Bear. Dopo questo i suoi sensori sono rimasti inattivi per 300 anni fino a raggiungere il pianeta Terra che a suoi dire era pieno di malvagità. Fu costruito e programmato per ripulire le galassie da creature considerate malvagie.

Zambot 3 marks the beginning of realism in Tomino’s robotic genre. The series is famous for its samurai armor-inspired design and a plot that doesn’t shy away from dramatic twists. CLOVER toys represent a piece of diecast history. From the complexity of the Zambot Gasshin set to the extreme rarity of Zambot Ace, these models are icons of a golden age. Zambot 3 is a Japanese robot anime series produced by Sunrise. The series, consisting of 23 episodes, was created in 1977 under the direction of Yoshiyuki Tomino, who is also the author, and features character design by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, mecha design by Ryoji Hirayama and music by Takeo Watanabe. First broadcast in Italy in the summer of 1981 on the private regional network Tele Reporter, Zambot 3 was the first robot cartoon to appear on Italian TV with the original opening and closing theme songs. Unlike Daitarn 3, Mazinga Z, UFO Robot Goldrake, Jeeg robot d’acciaio or Daltanious, the theme song in the Italian edition of the series remained in Japanese. A family of aliens called Jin, seeing their home planet Bial conquered by the fury of the evil armies of Gaizok, decide to take refuge on Earth, a planet similar to their own, and settle in Japan, during the Edo era. Two hundred years later their descendants, who remained on the planet, will have to face the same invaders again to try to save at least this second homeland. A tough fight between the indifference of the earthlings and the ruthlessness of the enemy aliens, which will lead our heroes to sacrifice themselves for the peace of the universe. |
The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the CLOVER .
The metal models made by Clover are still very sought after. The Zambot Dx in a single box is certainly in the Top 10 of the most expensive diecast to buy, but the intermediate and small versions are also very popular even if easier to find. A separate chapter is the Zambot Ace St, despite its small size it is extremely rare and expensive to find.
Currently the company’s diecasts CLOVER have not yet been catalogued in the Diecast Encyclopedia. The volume is in progress.

Kappei Jin
12 years old, the protagonist of the story as well as the youngest and bravest pilot of the Zambot 3 and the Zam-bird. Because of his pride and stubbornness he struggles to cooperate with the other two pilots, who are older than him. He is the last descendant of the alien Jin family who took refuge on Earth after the conquest of their home planet. He will have to fight not only against his enemies but also against the creeping racism of the Earth’s population. He will succeed, with great difficulty, in restoring peace to the entire universe. Passionate about motorcycles.
Ochuta Kamie
15 years old, the second pilot of Zambot and first pilot of Zam-bull, the central part of Zambot. Kappei’s cousin, he has a fringe of hair that covers his left eye; he comes from Tokyo and is very good at mathematics (his dream is to become an electronic engineer), he often has good ideas and his advice is always well thought out. At the beginning he has a strong clash with Kappei because of their respective antithetical characters.
Keiko Kamikita
14 years old, third pilot of the Zambot and first pilot of the
Zam-base, the part corresponding to Zambot’s legs. The only girl in the group, she wears shorts. She loves horses and is passionate about archery, thoughtful and very mature for her age: together with Uchuta she will perish in a kamikaze attack
Gaizok
It is the entity that leads the invasion troops on Earth. In the end it will be discovered that it was built by the inhabitants of Gaizok and is an eighth generation super computer. It was created to detect and interact with every creature animated by evil intentions and because of the evil that was darkening their souls it had to exterminate the inhabitants of the planet Bear. After this its sensors remained inactive for 300 years until reaching the planet Earth which according to it was full of evil. It was built and programmed to cleanse the galaxies from creatures considered evil.
