Space Ironman Kyodain: I Fratelli d’Acciaio

Nata nel 1976, la serie segue i fratelli Skyzel e Granzel, robot dotati delle personalità umane dei figli del Dr. Hayami, nella loro lotta contro gli invasori del pianeta Stella Nera. Insieme all’aiutante Gonbesu, i due fratelli difendono la Terra trasformandosi in potenti mezzi da guerra.

L’archivio di Robot Vintage analizza la ricca produzione diecast di Popy. Oltre ai celebri Chogokin (GA-47, GA-48, GA-49), spiccano i veicoli trasformabili della linea Popynica come lo Sky Jet e la Gran Car. Questi modelli, famosi anche grazie alla linea Shogun Warriors, rappresentano l’eccellenza del giocattolo in metallo degli anni ’70.

Space Ironmen Kyodain era una serie televisiva fantascienza giapponese del genere tokusatsu . Lo spettacolo, come molti altri del suo genere ed epoca, sono stati prodotti in uno sforzo congiunto tra l’artista manga Shotaro Ishinomori e produttore Toei Company Hirayama Tôru. Trasmesso nel 1976 per 48 episodi. Lo spettacolo è ben noto per la sua strana trama per i costumi bizzarri e per le atmosfere surreali. La trama del programma prevede un impero alieno proveniente dal pianeta “Stella Nera” rapiscono uno scienziato umano, il Dr. Hayami, e due dei suoi tre figli lo costringono a migliorare la loro tecnologia: Lo scienziato non ha altra scelta nonostante la sua profonda rabbia, risentimento, e senso di colpa. Un anno dopo, il loro impero è sufficientemente avanzati, tale da voler conquistare a Terra utilizzando un potente esercito di robot. Tuttavia 2 robot si ribellano improvvisamente e si alleano con i terrestri, emergerà poi che il dottor Hayami aveva programmato le personalità dei suoi due figli rapiti, Jouji e Ryouji, in questi super-robot. Jouji e Ryouji, ora “Skyzel” (come in “cielo) e” Grounzel “(come in” terra “), sono armati di forza incredibile e dispongono di potenti capacità di mutare forma,sono infatti in grado di trasformarsi in un jet e una macchina e a loro volta combinarsi tra di loro in varie configurazioni. Con queste abilità sono l’unica speranza per la Terra.

Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta POPY .

Come con la maggior parte delle altre serie del genere Tokusatsu anche Kyidain produsse molto merchandising. Furono realizzati da Popy i chogokin dei 2 protagonisti e i veicoli nei quali i protagonisti si trasformavano nella serie. I veicoli sono stati successivamente importati negli Stati Uniti come parte della linea Shogun Warriors .

Il maggiore dei 2 fratelli Kyodain, ha un’armatura spaziale di colore rosso. Assume l’identità di Jouji Hayami, La sua personalità è stata trasferita da suo padre il dottor Hayamy nel corpo del robot Skyzer

Terribile Imperatore della Stella nera, vuole conquistare la Terra ed esterndere il suo dominio in tutto l’universo. Ha l’aspetto di un’enorme palmo di una mano con un occhio.

Durante la serie i protagonisti pur essendo in grado di trasformarsi in veicoli, utilizzano anche delle motociclette e il KAGEBOSHI: veicolo utilizzato dai protagonisti per portarsi sul luogo della battaglia. Takatoku ha anche riprodotto la BASE SAUCER: l’astronave che porta i 2 alieni sulla Terra.

Space Ironman Kyodain: The Iron Brothers

Created in 1976, the story follows brothers Skyzel and Granzel, robots imbued with the human personalities of Dr. Hayami’s sons, in their battle against the invaders from the Black Star planet. Together with their assistant Gonbesu, the brothers defend Earth by transforming into powerful war vehicles.

The Robot Vintage archive examines the extensive diecast production by Popy. In addition to the famous Chogokin (GA-47, GA-48, GA-49), the transforming vehicles of the Popynica line stand out, such as the Sky Jet and Gran Car. These models, also known through the Shogun Warriors line, represent the pinnacle of 1970s diecast toys.

The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY .

As with most other series in the Tokusatsu genre, Kyidain also produced a lot of merchandise. Chogokin figures of the 2 protagonists and vehicles that the protagonists transformed into in the series were made by Popy. The vehicles were later imported into the United States as part of the Shogun Warriors line.

The eldest of the 2 Kyodain brothers, he has a red space armor. He takes the identity of Jouji Hayami, His personality was transferred from his father Dr. Hayami into the body of the robot Skyzer

He transforms into an airship called Skyzel and rides a motorcycle called Sky Machine when he joins his brother.

During the series the protagonists, while being able to transform into vehicles, also use motorcycles and the KAGEBOSHI : vehicle used by the protagonists to get to the battle site. Takatoku also reproduced the BASIC SAUCER : the spaceship that brings the 2 aliens to Earth.
