Bryger: Il Ciclone Galattico della Squadra J9
Trasmessa nel 1980, Bryger inaugura la leggendaria trilogia J9. La squadra di mercenari spaziali combatte il crimine galattico a bordo di un robot trasformabile capace di diventare auto e astronave, caratterizzato da uno stile unico “hard-boiled”.
La produzione dei giocattoli d’epoca fu curata da Takatoku. Il modello Chohenkei DX è un capolavoro di ingegneria vintage, affiancato dalle varianti Battle Action e ST. Questi modelli sono pilastri del collezionismo diecast degli anni ’80.

| BRYGER – 39 EPISODI – 1980 |
Siamo nell’anno 2111, nella cintura degli asteroidi è collocata la base segreta dei Cosmo Ranger Jota 9 (J9), un team composto da: Izaak, Boy, Kid e la bella Omachi. Usando il robot trasformabile Bryger, combattono il crimine nelle colonie terrestri del sistema solare. Un criminale dello spazio che risponde al nome di Kamen Kamen (a capo dello stato/organizzazione criminale di Nubia) ha un piano per distruggere l’umanità intera. Costui vuole distruggere il pianeta Giove utilizzando delle bombe mega-atomiche, frantumandolo in piccoli pianeti; questo per dimostrare di essere pari a una divinità in grado di realizzare un nuovo sistema solare. Ovviamente l’esplosione di Giove comporta il sacrificio della Terra. Venendo a conoscenza del piano malvagio alcuni scienziati terrestri facenti parte dell’Unione delle Nazioni decidono anche grazie all’aiuto dei Cosmo Ranger di volerlo impedire. Studiano come contromisura da utilizzare, spostandolo dalla sua orbita, il pianeta Mercurio come scudo. |

Linea di giocattoli realizzata dalla ditta Takatoku, Toys ben realizzati, il robot è stato riprodotto in varie dimensioni: piccola media (o battle action che realizza trasformazioni che nell’anime non si vedono) e Deluxe, fedele riproduzione di quanto visto nell’anime. Toys abbastanza comuni che non hanno molto mercato, ricercati per lo più solo se sono perfetti e completi.

Yotaro Kid
Detto Kid la raffica, è l’esperto di armi da fuoco del gruppo J9. Kid è anche il pilota del Bryger.
Omachi
Unico membro femminile del gruppo, Omachi è un ex agente governativo conosciuta come Viso d’angelo. Nonostante l’aspetto molto sexy e femminile è molto professionale nel suo lavoro.
Steven Boy
Conosciuto anche come Boy lo spericolato è un abilissimo pilota dal carattere gioviale. Boy pilota il Bryger in configurazione auto e astronave.
Izaac Kodomofu
detto Izaac il rasoio, è il capo del gruppo J9.
Poncho
E’ una sorta di procuratore di clienti per la squadra dei protagonisti, è molto attaccato al denaro.
Comandate Macarone
Comandante della Polizia Spaziale, spesso incrocia il gruppo dei Cosmo Ranger
KAMEN KAMEN
Principale antagonista della serie, individuo malvagio che persegue i suoi loschi piani volti a conquistare il sistema solare. Il suo scopo è portare a termine il progetto Aton, che prevede la distruzione di Giove per costruire 30 pianeti da sottomettere e sfruttare.
Bryger: The Galaxy Cyclone of the J9 Team
Aired in 1980, Bryger is the first chapter of the famous J9 trilogy. This space-mercenary team fights galactic crime with a robot that transforms into both a supercar and a starship, featuring a distinct hard-boiled detective vibe.
The vintage toy line was handled by Takatoku. The Chohenkei DX model is a masterpiece of early transformation engineering, supported by the Battle Action and ST versions. These remain staples of 1980s diecast collecting.

We are in the year 2111, in the asteroid belt is located the secret base of the Cosmo Ranger Jota 9 (J9), a team composed of: Izaak, Boy, Kid and the beautiful Omachi. Using the transformable robot Bryger, they fight crime in the terrestrial colonies of the solar system. A space criminal who answers to the name of Kamen Kamen (head of the state/criminal organization of Nubia) has a plan to destroy all of humanity. He wants to destroy the planet Jupiter using mega-atomic bombs, shattering it into small planets; this is to demonstrate that he is equal to a god capable of creating a new solar system. Obviously the explosion of Jupiter involves the sacrifice of the Earth. Learning of the evil plan, some terrestrial scientists belonging to the Union of Nations decide, also with the help of the Cosmo Rangers, to want to prevent it. They study as a countermeasure to use, moving it from its orbit, the planet Mercury as a shield. |
The diecast merchandising of the series was made by the company TAKATOKU .
Toy line made by Takatoku, well made toys, the robot has been reproduced in various sizes: small medium (or battle action that makes transformations that are not seen in the anime) and Deluxe, faithful reproduction of what was seen in the anime. Toys quite common that do not have much market, mostly sought after only if they are perfect and complete.

Yotaro Kid
Called Kid the Burst, he is the firearms expert of the J9 group. Kid is also the pilot of the Bryger.
Omachi
The only female member of the group, Omachi is a former government agent known as Angel Face. Despite her very sexy and feminine appearance, she is very professional in her work.
Steven Boy
Also known as Reckless Boy, he is a skilled pilot with a jovial nature. Boy pilots the Bryger in car and spaceship configurations.
Izaac Kodomofu
called Izaac the Razor, is the leader of the J9 group.
Poncho
He is a sort of client agent for the team of protagonists, he is very attached to money.
Comandate Macarone
Commander of the Space Police, he often crosses paths with the Cosmo Ranger group
KAMEN KAMEN
The main antagonist of the series, an evil individual who pursues his sinister plans to conquer the solar system. His goal is to complete the Aton project, which involves the destruction of Jupiter to build 30 planets to subjugate and exploit.
