Galactic Gale Baxingar: La Cavalcata Spaziale della Trilogia J9
Andata in onda nel 1982, Galactic Gale Baxingar è il secondo capitolo della celebre trilogia “J9”. Ambientata in un sistema solare colonizzato, la serie segue le gesta del gruppo “Cosmo Ranger J9”, ispirato allo Shinsengumi giapponese. La particolarità di Baxingar risiede nella sua natura modulare: il robot nasce dall’unione di cinque moto spaziali guidate dai protagonisti.
Il merchandising d’epoca è legato alla ditta Takatoku, che ha realizzato uno dei modelli trasformabili più spettacolari dell’era d’oro. Il Baxingar DX è un capolavoro di ingegneria vintage: integra perfettamente le cinque motociclette nel corpo del robot con una grande quantità di metallo. Anche le versioni ST e i set dedicati alle singole moto sono oggi pezzi fondamentali per i collezionisti.

Le loro moto sono in grado di diventare gigantesche, si trasformano e si combinano utilizzando la Teoria Synchron. Il suo aspetto è basato su un guerriero corazzato. La grande bicicletta a tre ruote blu scuro è il suo busto e la sua testa, la moto gialla “Typhoon” è il suo braccio destro, la moto rossa “Hurricane” è il suo braccio sinistro, il sidecar nero “Monsoon” è la sua gamba destra , e Il sidecar azzurro “Cyclone” diventa la gamba sinistra.

Galactic Gale Baxingar: The Space Outlaws of the J9 Trilogy
Released in 1982, Galactic Gale Baxingar is the second installment of the legendary “J9” trilogy. The story follows the “Cosmo Ranger J9” team, a group of young outlaws inspired by the historical Shinsengumi. Baxingar stands out for its unique concept: the giant robot is formed by combining five high-speed space motorcycles driven by the main heroes.
The vintage toy line was masterfully produced by Takatoku. The Baxingar DX is a standout piece of 80s engineering, successfully merging five separate bikes into a heavy, die-cast robot. Its impressive shelf presence and the clever integration of the motorcycle units make it a favorite among collectors, along with the ST models and individual motorcycle sets.

Its plot is based in the late Tokugawa period of Japan during the samurai Shinsengumi period. The story is set 600 years after the destruction of Jupiter where the solar system was in a state of peace under the Bakufu government and 600 years r humans have migrated to many planets. However, However due to contact with aliens from outer space, the Bakufu government system began to crumble and eventually turned into a civil war. The lawlessness of this new solar system requires the intervention of a man named Dan Condor, only he can assemble a new J9 team to fight against injustice.
