J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai: L’ultima Frontiera dei Sentai

Seconda serie prodotta nel 1977 dalla Toei su idea di Shotaro Ishinomori, J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai (pronunciato “Jacker”) rappresenta un unicum nella storia del genere. Si tratta infatti dell’ultimo “Sentai” a non presentare un robot gigante, caratteristica che verrà introdotta solo nella serie successiva, sancendo la nascita dei Super Sentai. La trama segue le gesta di quattro giovani trasformati chirurgicamente in cyborg per combattere l’impero criminale globale “Crime”, guidato dal misterioso Iron Claw.

L’archivio di Robot Vintage analizza la ricca produzione diecast della Popy per questa serie. A differenza di altre produzioni dell’epoca, il merchandising si concentrò quasi esclusivamente sui singoli veicoli personalizzati, identificati dalla prestigiosa serie Popynica (codici PB). Dai bolidi terrestri come la Spade Machine e l’Heart Buggy, fino al possente velivolo Sky Ace e al Jacker Tank, ogni modello è documentato con schede tecniche che ne esaltano i dettagli bionici e le peculiarità collezionistiche.

J.A.K.Q. è l’ultima serie ad utilizzare solo il nome “Sentai”, con Battle Fever J vengono inseriti i super robot e da allora le serie diventano”Super Sentai”. J.A.K.Q. (Pronunciato “Jacker”) è il nome in codice dell’associazione segreata formata per combattere gli assassini cyborg del terribile Claw. Claw è il leader di un impero criminale globale conosciuto semplicemente come “criminalità” che si propone di diventare la più potente organizzazione mafiosa in tutto il mondo. Il progetto J.A.K.Q. è il frutto della mente geniale di Kujirai Daisuke, specialista brillante e ingegnere di bionica che era anche il comandante a Tokyo dell’ ISSIS. Daisuke Kujirai, propone un esperimento radicale per aiutare le sue forze in Giappone. recluta quattro soggetti e li trasforma in giovani cyborg chirurgicamente alterati e dotati di vari poteri di manipolazione dell’energia e miglioramenti bionici. Quando sono chiamati ad entrare battaglia, ogni membro del gruppo entra una capsula di potenziamento che li trasforma creando anche delle armature che avvolgono il loro corpo.

Goro Sakurai /Spade Ace

Un atleta di pentathlon e medaglia d’oro olimpica . Oltre ad essere un campione di Karate , Tiro con l’arco e Judo, era anche un abile equestre e un ottimo atleta. . Inizialmente rifiuta l’offerta di Joker di aderire JAKQ , ma poi ha un ripensamento dopo che viene salvato da Karen Mizuki .

JAKQ non aveva un robot gigante, ma ognuno di loro aveva la propria macchina (tranne Clover King, che aveva una motocicletta), oltre a un jet e un carro armato collettivo.
JAKQ è stato anche il primo Sentai a includere un “congegno di trasformazione”, enormi capsule in cui gli agenti entravano per trasformarsi e potenziarsi

Ryu Higashi / Daiya Jakku

Un ex campione di pugilato pesi welter . E ‘stato ingiustamente accusato di omicidio da parte di scorretti promotori di incontri truccati di Las Vegas dopo essersi rifiutato di truccare l’esito dei alcuni incontri.. E ‘stato intercettato da Jokermetra stava per essere estradato in Giappone per subire un procedimento penale . Joker gli ha offerto la scelta di lavorare per ISSIS come parte di JAKQ o scontare la pena detentiva . Higashi malincuore ha accettato l’offerta di Joker sia pure con riserve .

Karen Mizuki / Heart Queen

Ragazza giapponese-caucasica detective della polizia . E ‘stata assegnata a indagare sulle rotte del traffico di stupefacenti in Giappone . Durante una delle sue indagini , scopre che la criminalità controllava la maggior parte di questi percorsi e decide per tanto di entrare a far parte dell ISSIS per distruggere queste rotte . Crime tentò di ucciderla organizzando un incidente d’auto mortale . Miracolosamente , Karen è sopravvissuta ma ha perso il suo braccio destro .

Bunta Daichi / Clover King

Bunta è oceanografo morto per assenza di ossigeno durante un’esplorazione sottomarina . Il corpo di Daichi è stato criocongelato e mantenuto in una struttura medica per la ricerca fino a quando è stato trovato da Joker. Utilizzando la tecnologia bionica , Joker è stato in grado di far rivivere Daichi come un cyborg dotandolo di una forza straordinaria.

Sokichi Banba / Big One

Un irrefrenabile playboy maestro del travestimento . E’ l’ufficiale ISSIS che è stato chiamato a dirigere le operazioni a Tokyo per conto di Joker . E’ un cyborg ed è considerato molto potente grazie ai suoi impianti bionici gli permettono di sfruttare e manipolare tutti e quattro i poteri cosmici: atomici , magnetici , elettrici e gravitazionali

Daisuke Kujirai/Joker

recluta quattro giovani che ritiene i candidati perfetti per il progetto ” super- cyborg ” . Altera i loro corpi fisici con miglioramenti bionici e li equipaggia di dispositivi per la manipolazione di energia

Di lui non si sa quasi nulla, se non che è il capo di un’organizzazione che mira alla conquista del mondo, si scoprirà poi essere un cyborg.

The second series produced in 1977 by Toei, based on an idea by Shotaro Ishinomori, J.A.K.Q. Dengekitai (pronounced “Jacker”) represents a unique milestone in the genre’s history. It is the last “Sentai” not to feature a giant robot, a feature that would be introduced in the following series, marking the birth of the Super Sentai. The plot follows four young people surgically transformed into cyborgs to fight the global criminal empire “Crime,” led by the mysterious Iron Claw.

The Robot Vintage archive examines Popy’s extensive diecast production for this series. Unlike other productions of the era, the merchandising focused almost exclusively on individual custom vehicles, identified by the prestigious Popynica series (PB codes). From ground racers like the Spade Machine and Heart Buggy to the powerful Sky Ace aircraft and the Jacker Tank, each model is documented with technical data sheets highlighting their bionic details and collector appeal.

He recruits four subjects and transforms them into surgically altered young cyborgs equipped with various energy manipulation powers and bionic enhancements. When called upon to enter battle, each member of the group enters an enhancement capsule that transforms them and also creates armor that envelops their bodies.

Goro Sakurai /Spade Ace

A pentathlon athlete and Olympic gold medalist. In addition to being a champion in Karate, Archery, and Judo, he was also a skilled equestrian and an excellent athlete. He initially refuses Joker’s offer to join JAKQ, but later has second thoughts after he is saved by Karen Mizuki.

JAKQ didn’t have a giant robot, but each of them had their own car (except Clover King, who had a motorcycle), as well as a jet and a collective tank.
JAKQ was also the first Sentai to include a “transformation device,” massive pods that agents entered to transform and power up.

Ryu Higashi / Daiya Jakku

A former welterweight boxing champion. He was falsely accused of murder by dishonest Las Vegas match-fixing promoters after refusing to fix the outcome of several fights. He was intercepted by Jokermetra as he was about to be extradited to Japan to face criminal prosecution. Joker offered him the choice of working for ISSIS as part of JAKQ or serving a prison sentence. Higashi reluctantly accepted Joker’s offer albeit with reservations.

Karen Mizuki / Heart Queen

Japanese-Caucasian police detective. She was assigned to investigate drug trafficking routes in Japan. During one of her investigations, she discovers that crime controlled most of these routes and decides to join ISSIS to destroy these routes. Crime attempted to kill her by arranging a fatal car accident. Miraculously, Karen survived but lost her right arm.

Bunta Daichi / Clover King

Bunta is an oceanographer who died from lack of oxygen during an underwater exploration. Daichi’s body was cryogenically frozen and kept in a medical facility for research until he was found by Joker. Using bionic technology, Joker was able to revive Daichi as a cyborg, giving him extraordinary strength.

Sokichi Banba / Big One

An irrepressible playboy and master of disguise. He is the ISSIS officer who was called to direct operations in Tokyo on behalf of Joker. He is a cyborg and is considered very powerful thanks to his bionic implants that allow him to exploit and manipulate all four cosmic powers: atomic, magnetic, electric and gravitational.

Daisuke Kujirai/Joker

recruits four young people he deems the perfect candidates for the “super-cyborg” project. He alters their physical bodies with bionic enhancements and equips them with energy-manipulating devices.

Iron Claw

Almost nothing is known about him, except that he is the leader of an organization aiming to conquer the world, and he will later be revealed to be a cyborg.
