Super Robot Mach Baron: Il Difensore d’Acciaio

Sequel della celebre serie Red Baron, Super Robot Mach Baron è una serie tokusatsu del 1974 che vede il giovane pilota Lan Tian Jan alla guida del mastodontico robot per contrastare l’esercito dei Robot Imperiali guidato dallo scienziato malvagio Georg Lark. Il Mach Baron, attivato dall’aggancio del veicolo Mach Trigger nel suo piede sinistro, rappresenta uno dei primi esempi di super robot televisivi degli anni ’70. La trama si sviluppa attraverso battaglie spettacolari per la difesa della Terra, coinvolgendo un team di scienziati ed esperti di arti marziali determinati a fermare i piani di conquista globale dell’impero nemico.

L’archivio di Robot Vintage documenta la prestigiosa linea di merchandising realizzata da Popy. Il modello principale della collezione è il Chogokin GA-07, oggi considerato un pezzo raro e di alto valore collezionistico a causa della sua limitata distribuzione originale. Di grande importanza sono anche i veicoli della serie Popynica, tra cui spiccano il Mach Trigger (PA-41), estremamente ricercato, il Kiss Bird (PA-40) e il Kiss Marine (PA-39). Questi modelli catturano l’estetica industriale e robusta tipica dei giocattoli in metallo di metà anni ’70, rendendoli icone intramontabili per gli appassionati di produzioni giapponesi d’epoca.

La sua storia è stata poi raccontata nel anime Barone Rosso e aveva un sequel dal titolo Super Robot Mach Baron. La serie è ambientata nei primi anni del 21 ° secolo, dove il Dr. Devil dopo aver rubato robot giganti costruiti in tutto il mondo da esposti in una mostra rapisce i loro ideatori e li costringe a collaborare con lui per creare un “impero robotico”. Lo scienziato Kenichiro Kurenai, prevedendo la sua cattura, consegna il suo super robot, Red Baron, al fratello minore Ken Kureinai. Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta POPY .

Serie Tokusatsu, una delle prime dove compare un super robot, ha riscosso molto successo ed è stato prodotto molto merchandising. Popy ottenne i diritti per la riproduzione diecast del robot (raro e costoso) e dei veicoli della serie. (poco ricercati eccetto il Mach Trigger che è molto raro e costoso)

Super Robot Mach Baron: The Steel Defender

The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY .

Tokusatsu series, one of the first to feature a super robot, was very successful and produced a lot of merchandising. Popy obtained the rights to diecast the robot (rare and expensive) and the vehicles of the series. (Not very sought after except the Mach Trigger which is very rare and expensive)
