The Ultraman: Il Primo Eroe Animato

The Ultraman (Ultraman Jonias) è la serie anime del 1979 prodotta da Sunrise, che segnò il primo tentativo di portare l’eroe di Tsuburaya nel mondo dell’animazione. La trama segue Choichiro Hikari che, unendosi a Ultraman Jonias del pianeta U40, difende la Terra da mostri e invasioni aliene. Grazie al formato animato, la serie poté mostrare battaglie spaziali e ambientazioni che i live-action dell’epoca non potevano permettersi, pur mantenendo lo spirito classico del franchise.

Il merchandising Diecast fu prodotto da POPY, ma non gode oggi della stessa fama di altre linee robotiche. Il modello principale è l’Ultraman Jonias (GB-04), a cui si affiancano i veicoli Sky Higher (PB-84), Baryon (PB-85), Star Wad (PB-86) e Super Wad (PB-87). Nonostante la buona qualità dei materiali, questi pezzi sono considerati piuttosto comuni nel circuito vintage: la loro ampia disponibilità e un interesse limitato da parte dei collezionisti li rendono oggetti poco ricercati e dal valore di mercato decisamente contenuto rispetto ai grandi classici Chogokin.

La serie in onda su affiliati TBS televisividal 4 aprile 1979 al 26 marzo 1980 , per una durata totale di 50 episodi . Si tratta dell’ottavo capitolo della serie Ultraman e in onda quattro anni dopo la fine di Ultraman Leo . Lo spettacolo è stato la prima incarnazione animata del supereoe Ultraman , nonché una delle prime opere di anime studio Nippon Sunrise , che ha anche lavorato sulla loro oggi famosissima serie mecha, Mobile Suit Gundam, nel corso dello stesso anno . L’Ultraman presente in questa serie è chiamato Ultraman Joeneus (o ultram Joe) , proviene dal pianeta U40a differenza dei precedenti Ultraman che provenivano invece dalla nebulosa 78.

Choikiro Hikari

Nella sua forma umana per trasformarsi utilizza un dispositivo simile a quello degli altri Ultraman. Choikiro rimuove il lampeggiatore dalla cintura e lo rivolge al cielo dove sembra che inizi ad assorbire energia , possibilmente da sole. Depone, quindi, il lampeggiatore sulla fronte e si trasforma in Joneus .

The Ultraman: The First Animated Hero

The Ultraman (Ultraman Jonias) is the 1979 anime series produced by Sunrise, marking the first attempt to bring Tsuburaya’s hero into the world of animation. The plot follows Choichiro Hikari who, by merging with Ultraman Jonias from planet U40, defends Earth from monsters and alien invasions. Thanks to the animated format, the series was able to showcase space battles and settings that live-action productions of the time could not afford, while maintaining the classic spirit of the franchise.

The Diecast merchandising was produced by POPY, but it does not enjoy the same fame today as other robotic lines. The main model is Ultraman Jonias (GB-04), accompanied by the vehicles Sky Higher (PB-84), Baryon (PB-85), Star Wad (PB-86), and Super Wad (PB-87). Despite the good quality of the materials, these pieces are considered quite common in the vintage circuit: their high availability and limited interest from collectors make them less sought-after items with a significantly lower market value compared to the great Chogokin classics.

Choikiro Hikari

In his human form, he uses a device similar to that of other Ultramen to transform. Choikiro removes the flashlight from his belt and points it towards the sky where it appears to begin absorbing energy, possibly from the sun. He then places the flashlight on his forehead and transforms into Joneus.
