Tiger Mask: Il Campione della Giustizia

Naoto Date è un orfano cresciuto nel dopoguerra che, dopo anni di allenamento nella spietata “Tana delle Tigri”, diventa il feroce lottatore Tiger Mask. Deciso a redimersi, tradisce l’organizzazione per aiutare l’orfanotrofio della sua infanzia, iniziando una cruenta battaglia sul ring contro i sicari inviati per ucciderlo, diventando un simbolo di onestà e coraggio per tutti gli orfani del Giappone.

Il merchandising Diecast della serie è tra i più prestigiosi della produzione POPY, inserito nella rinomata MEISAKU SERIE. Il modello Tiger Mask (GA-73) è un pezzo di grande importanza storica: all’interno della sua linea, questo Chogokin è classificato come raro e molto costoso. Sebbene non sia catalogato come “estremamente” raro, la sua costante richiesta e il valore economico elevato lo rendono un pezzo nobile del collezionismo vintage, specialmente quando conservato con scatola e accessori originali.

Naoto Date è un orfano cresciuto dopo la seconda guerra mondiale. Un giorno, facendo visita a uno zoo insieme ai compagni di orfanotrofio, alla vista della gabbia con i grandi felini, capisce di voler diventare forte come una tigre per combattere le ingiustizie nei confronti degli orfani come lui. Allora scappa, lasciando i compagni attoniti, e incontra l’emissario della “Tana delle Tigri”, un’associazione a scopo di lucro che addestra lottatori fortissimi provenienti da ogni parte del mondo. Si reca così sulle Alpi, dove ha sede la Tana delle Tigri, e lì trascorre i successivi 10 anni sottoponendosi ad allenamenti durissimi. Divenuto adulto Naoto comincia a combattere ferocemente, come gli è stato insegnato, e, dopo essersi fatto una fama di lottatore feroce in America dove viene soprannominato “Diavolo giallo”, torna in Giappone. Ma esiste una legge della Tana delle Tigri, per cui ogni lottatore ha l’obbligo, per tutta la sua vita professionale, di dare la metà dei suoi compensi all’associazione. Chi disubbidisce è considerato traditore, e subisce punizioni terribili. Naoto Date/Tiger Mask, tornato a visitare quello che era stato il suo orfanotrofio, decide di non rispettare l’obbligo nei confronti della Tana delle Tigri, e aiutare invece tutti gli orfani con il denaro vinto dagli incontri. Decide così di saldare il debito contratto dall’orfanotrofio con uno strozzino e inizia a combattere onestamente, anche per non influenzare negativamente i suoi giovani ammiratori. Comincia in questo modo un’interminabile serie di incontri all’ultimo sangue contro i sicari mandatigli dalla Tana delle Tigri, i quali cercheranno in tutti i modi possibili di punire il suo tradimento: hanno difatti ricevuto l’ordine tassativo di ucciderlo sul ring. Uomo Tigre lotterà con tutte le sue forze per liberarsi dalle spire malvagie di quest’organizzazione criminale.

Naoto Date is an orphan who, after years of training in the ruthless “Tiger’s Den,” becomes the ferocious wrestler Tiger Mask. Decided to redeem himself, he betrays the organization to help the orphanage of his childhood, starting a bloody battle in the ring against the assassins sent to kill him, becoming a symbol of honesty and courage for all orphans in Japan.

The Diecast merchandising for the series is among the most prestigious of POPY‘s production, included in the renowned MEISAKU SERIE. The Tiger Mask (GA-73) model is a piece of great historical importance: within its line, this Chogokin is classified as rare and very expensive. Although not categorized as “extremely” rare, its constant demand and high market value make it a noble piece of vintage collecting, especially when preserved with the original box and accessories.

So he runs away, leaving his friends astonished, and meets the emissary of the “Tiger’s Den”, a for-profit association that trains very strong fighters from all over the world. He goes to the Alps, where the Tiger’s Den is located, and there he spends the next 10 years undergoing very hard training. As an adult, Naoto begins to fight ferociously, as he was taught, and, after having gained a reputation as a ferocious fighter in America where he is nicknamed “Yellow Devil”, he returns to Japan. But there is a law of the Tiger’s Den, according to which every fighter is obliged, for his entire professional life, to give half of his compensation to the association. Anyone who disobeys is considered a traitor, and suffers terrible punishments. Naoto Date/Tiger Mask, returning to visit what was once his orphanage, decides not to respect his obligation to the Tiger’s Den, and instead help all the orphans with the money he won from the matches. He decides to pay off the debt the orphanage contracted with a loan shark and begins to fight honestly, also so as not to negatively influence his young admirers. This begins an endless series of matches to the death against the assassins sent to him by the Tiger’s Den, who will try in every possible way to punish his betrayal: they have in fact received strict orders to kill him in the ring. Tiger Man will fight with all his strength to free himself from the evil coils of this criminal organization.
