Ganbare! Robocon: Fai del tuo meglio, Robocon!
Ganbare!! Robocon è un celebre programma televisivo giapponese creato da Shotaro Ishinomori e prodotto dalla Toei, trasmesso per 118 episodi tra il 1974 e il 1977. La serie racconta le avventure di Robocon, un simpatico robot rosso creato dal Professor Gantz, direttore della Robot Academy. Robocon e i suoi compagni robotici hanno la missione di aiutare gli umani nella vita quotidiana per rendere il mondo un posto migliore. Al termine di ogni compito, vengono valutati da Gantz: se approvati, ricevono medaglie a forma di cuori rosa. Nonostante la sua buona volontà, Robocon è spesso pasticcione, poco propenso allo studio e terrorizzato dagli scarafaggi, ma non smette mai di impegnarsi al massimo.
Il merchandising diecast della serie, realizzato dalla Popy, ha riscosso un successo enorme quanto lo show televisivo. La produzione è stata vastissima e Popy ha riprodotto quasi tutti i personaggi della Robot Academy in modo estremamente fedele all’interno della linea Chogokin. Il modello principale è il Robocon (GA-14), ma la serie vanta pezzi storici come il Professor Gantz (GA-15) e numerosi altri robot come Robopa (GA-16), Roboton (GA-17) e Robogari (GA-18). Tra i collezionisti, il pezzo più raro e ricercato è sicuramente Robin Chan (GA-21), la prima bambola Chogokin prodotta con abiti in vera stoffa.

E’ stato trasmesso per 118 episodi dal 4 ottobre 1974 al 25 marzo, 1977 in NET TV Robocon è una serie per bambini che racconta le avventure di un simpatico Robot e dei suoi amici. Robocon è infatti stato creato dal professor Gantz, direttore della Robot Academy (che a sua volta è un robot) per rendere il mondo un posto migliore. Assieme ad altri studenti robotici dell’Accademia ha la missione di aiutare gli umani, essere valutati da Gantz in vari compiti e vincere medaglie a forma di cuori rosa quando approvati. Il nome della serie, il titolo della serie puà essere tradotto come: “fai del tuo meglio, Robocon!!” |

Serie televisiva rivolt ai bambini che riscosse un enorme successo. La produzione merchandising è stata elevatissima. Popy ha riprodotto tutti i personaggi che compaiono nella serie in modo abbastanza fedele. La maggior parte dei modelli sono abbastanza comuni da trovare mentre altri raggiungono prezzi molto elevati. Tra questi sicuramente la più rara e ricercata è il GA21 Robin Chan in quanto si tratta della prima bambola chogokin realizzata con abiti in stoffa.

| ROBOCON |
Robot protagonista della serie, è un robot rosso, con grandi occhi bianchi, braccia e gambe a fisarmonica argentate e guantoni da boxe gialli al posto delle mani. Vive tra gli umani e li aiuta nei loro piccoli problemi di vita comune, studia presso l’Università dei Robot ma con scarsi risultati in quanto è poco propenso allo studio. Teme gli scarafaggi. |
Sono molti i personaggi che compaiono nella serie: Robobin è un robot per le consegne, capace di trasformarsi in una bicicletta e di raggiungere velocità incredibili, che prende molto sul serio il suo lavoro. Robo-P è una donna robot della polizia, innamorata di Robocon e che è quasi sempre distratta da lui quando avviene un grosso crimine. Robokero è una rana robot specializzata nel karaoke, la cui missione è rendere felici le persone attraverso la musica, ma, come Robocon, non sembra essere molto bravo in quello che fa. Robomogu è un robot da cucina, che ha un forno nella pancia e lavora in un ristorante. E Robodigi, la cui testa è un enorme monitor, lavora in un laboratorio dove risolve problemi complessi con il suo incredibile cervello elettronico.

La serie non aveva cattivi, ma due robot malvagi erano sempre disposti a disturbare ancora di più Robocon, sottoponendolo anche ad atti di bullismo. Il principale di questi robot malvagi era Robowaru, il più forte di tutti, che lavorava nell’edilizia ed era disposto a tutto, anche a ricorrere a imbrogli e atti disonesti, pur di ottenere sempre il massimo dei voti e tanti cuori da Gantz. RoboWARU era spesso accompagnato da Robogaki.

Ganbare!! Robocon is a famous Japanese television program created by Shotaro Ishinomori and produced by Toei, broadcast for 118 episodes between 1974 and 1977. The series follows the adventures of Robocon, a friendly red robot created by Professor Gantz, the principal of the Robot Academy. Robocon and his robotic classmates are on a mission to help humans in their daily lives to make the world a better place. After each task, they are evaluated by Gantz: if successful, they receive pink heart-shaped medals. Despite his good intentions, Robocon is often clumsy, not very fond of studying, and terrified of cockroaches, but he never stops trying his absolute best.
The diecast merchandising for the series, produced by Popy, was as hugely successful as the TV show itself. Production was extensive, and Popy faithfully reproduced nearly all the characters from the Robot Academy within the Chogokin line. The flagship model is Robocon (GA-14), but the series features historic pieces such as Professor Gantz (GA-15) and numerous other robots like Robopa (GA-16), Roboton (GA-17), and Robogari (GA-18). Among collectors, the rarest and most sought-after piece is undoubtedly Robin Chan (GA-21), the first Chogokin doll ever produced with real cloth clothing. While many models are common, some rare specimens currently command very high prices on the vintage market.

TV series aimed at children that was a huge success. The merchandising production was very high. Popy has reproduced all the characters that appear in the series quite faithfully. Most of the models are quite common to find while others reach very high prices. Among these, the rarest and most sought after is certainly the GA21 Robin Chan as it is the first chogokin doll made with cloth clothes.

He lives among humans and helps them with their small problems of common life, he studies at the University of Robots but with poor results as he is not inclined to study. He fears cockroaches. |
There are many characters that appear in the series: Robobin is a delivery robot, capable of transforming into a bicycle and reaching incredible speeds, who takes his job very seriously. Robo-P is a female police robot, in love with Robocon and who is almost always distracted by him when a big crime occurs. Robokero is a robot frog specialized in karaoke, whose mission is to make people happy through music, but, like Robocon, he doesn’t seem to be very good at what he does. Robomogu is a kitchen robot, who has an oven in his belly and works in a restaurant. And Robodigi, whose head is a huge monitor, works in a laboratory where he solves complex problems with his incredible electronic brain.

The series had no villains, but two evil robots were always willing to trouble Robocon even more, even bullying him. The main one of these evil robots was Robotwaru , the strongest of all, who worked in construction and was willing to do anything, even resorting to cheating and dishonest acts, just to always get the highest marks and lots of hearts from Gantz. Robowaru was often accompanied by Robogaki .
