Himitsu Sentai Goranger tradotto in italiano come Squadrone segreto Goranger, è una serie televisiva tokusatsu. Goranger è stato il primo Super Sentai divenuto noto in occidente La pace nel mondo è minacciata dalla nascita di una società segreta internazionale del male chiamata “Kuro Jujigun” (“Esercito della Croce nera”). Le Nazioni Unite istituiscono la squadra speciale “EAGLE” (“EArth Guardia LEague”) per combattere la minaccia, distribuendola in varie parti del mondo, designate come “blocchi”. Uno dei più grandi “blocchi” è il Giappone. Per evitare la squadra speciale, il “Kuro Jujigun” decide di lanciare un attacco a sorpresa contro il Giappone e invia cinque dei suoi più pericolosi cyborg di attacco. Attraverso il Giappone Kuro Jujigun decima i suoi obiettivi, uccidendo tutti coloro che si oppongono, ma dalle ceneri di queste basi distrutte, cinque giovani reclute miracolosamente sopravvivono e giurano vendetta. A loro il comandante della EAGLE giapponese, Edogawa Kenpachi, fornisce delle speciali tute da battaglia che li rendono capaci di abilità sovrumane. Nasce così lo squadrone Goranger.

Il merchandising Diecast della serie fu realizzato dalla ditta POPY .

Serie che ha riscosso moltissimo successo, Popy ha realizzato i diecast di tutti i protagonisti e di tutti i veicoli utilizzati durante la serie. Dei modelli prodotti, molto rare e costose sono le prime versioni dei chogokin dei protagonisti (riconoscibili dal box dove è presente la foto del protagonista in abiti civili e senza il casco). Ultimamente anche i veicoli sono saliti di prezzo, in particolar modo le moto guidate dai protagonisti .

Tsuyoshi Kaijo (Aka Ranger)

Ha 24 anni ed è il fratello minore del capitano della base della EAGLE a Kantò. Kaijo venne sottoposto ad allenamenti in strategie e pianificazioni di combattimento sin da giovane, è un leader e stratega nato.

Akira Shinme (Ao Ranger)

Ha 25 anni. Shinmei si stava allenando a Touhoku quando L’Esercito Della Croce Nera attaccò. È il più maturo dei Goranger, indossa solitamente abiti da cowboy, è un abile arciere e pilota e sognava di diventare un pilota di auto da corsa. Come Aoranger, Akira è il vice comandante dei Goranger, pilota le aeronavi Varibloom e Varidreen.

Daita Ooiwa (Ki Ranger)

Ha 23 anni. Campione di Judo, è un ingegnere dalla corporatura robusta e dall’animo gioviale reclutato alla base della EAGLE al Kyushu. È abile nella meccanica e nella matematica, Come Kiranger è quello fisicamente più forte della squadra ed è armato del Ki-Sticker, un’asta con un pugno all’estremità.

Peggy Matsuyama (Momo Ranger)

Ha 18 anni, è una ragazza euroasiatica (suo padre era svizzero mentre la madre era giapponese) assegnata alla base della EAGLE in Hokkaido nella ingegneria della armi specializzae delle armi dall’aspetto femminile ad esempio i suoi orecchini a forma di cuore sono delle bombe.attere gli avversari con un colpo solo.

Kenji Asuka (Mido Ranger)

Ha 17 anni. E’ un ragazzo scavezzacollo dal temperamento un po’ irascibile. Come Midoranger, le sue armi sono il Midorang, un potente boomerang che più tardi venne potenziato e trasformato nel New Midorang e il Mido Puncher, una fionda che lancia proiettili esplosivi.

World peace is threatened by the emergence of an evil international secret society called “Kuro Jujigun” (“Black Cross Army”). The United Nations establishes the special team “EAGLE” (“EArth Guard League”) to combat the threat, deploying it to various parts of the world, designated as “blocks.” One of the largest “blocks” is Japan. To avoid the special team, the “Kuro Jujigun” decides to launch a surprise attack on Japan and sends five of its most dangerous attack cyborgs. Across Japan, Kuro Jujigun decimates its targets, killing all who oppose it, but from the ashes of these destroyed bases, five young recruits miraculously survive and vow revenge. The commander of the Japanese EAGLE, Edogawa Kenpachi, provides them with special battle suits that enable them to have superhuman abilities. Thus, the Goranger Squadron is born.

A series that has had a great success, Popy has created diecasts of all the protagonists and all the vehicles used during the series. Of the models produced, the first versions of the protagonists’ chogokin are very rare and expensive (recognizable by the box where there is a photo of the protagonist in civilian clothes and without a helmet). Lately, the vehicles have also increased in price, especially the motorcycles driven by the protagonists.

Tsuyoshi Kaijo (Aka Ranger)

He is 24 years old and the younger brother of the captain of the EAGLE base in Kantò. Kaijo underwent training in combat strategies and planning from a young age, he is a born leader and strategist.

Akira Shinme (Ao Ranger)

He is 25 years old. Shinmei was training in Touhoku when the Black Cross Army attacked. He is the most mature of the Gorangers, usually wearing cowboy clothes, is a skilled archer and pilot and dreamed of becoming a race car driver. Like Aoranger, Akira is the vice-commander of the Gorangers, piloting the airships Varibloom and Varidreen.

Daita Ooiwa (Ki Ranger)

He is 23 years old. A Judo champion, he is a robust engineer with a jovial soul recruited at the EAGLE base in Kyushu. He is skilled in mechanics and mathematics. Like Kiranger, he is the physically strongest of the team and is armed with the Ki-Sticker, a pole with a fist at the end.

Peggy Matsuyama (Momo Ranger)

She is 18 years old, a Eurasian girl (her father was Swiss while her mother was Japanese) assigned to the EAGLE base in Hokkaido in weapons engineering specializing in feminine-looking weapons such as her heart-shaped earrings are bombs. She can attack opponents with one shot.

Kenji Asuka (Mido Ranger)

He is 17 years old. He is a reckless boy with a somewhat short temper. As a Midoranger, his weapons are the Midorang, a powerful boomerang that was later upgraded and transformed into the New Midorang, and the Mido Puncher, a slingshot that launches explosive projectiles.
