La storia di Takaya Todoroki e della sua leggendaria vettura a 6 ruote rimane un pilastro dell’animazione sportiva anni ’70.

| ARROW EMBLEM -44 PUNTATE – 1977 |
Grand Prix e il campionissimo è un anime giapponese creato daKougo Hotomi e prodotto dalla Toei Animation per un totale di 44 episodi diretti da Rin Taro (prima parte) e Nobutaka Nishizawa. Il design originale della serie è del famoso Akio Sugino – per i personaggi – oltre che di Mayumi Kobayashi – per il mecha design. L’opera giunge in Italia all’inizio degli anni ’80 e viene riproposta in VHS dalla Yamato Video nel 2004. Protagonista della serie è Takaya Todoroki, giovane affascinante pilota automobilistico che sogna di correre in Formula 1 con la sua macchina. Dopo un incidente, il sogno sembra infranto ma un uomo misterioso lo ingaggia per la scuderia Katori. Questi non è altri che il leggendario pilota Niki Lans (evidente omaggio a Niki Lauda), rimasto ferito in un incidente. Takaya mette quindi a punto una nuova vettura con quattro ruote anteriori sterzanti (la Todoroky Special, ispirandosi al prototipo Tyrrel di F1 che corse in quegli anni) grazie alla quale riesce a competere ad alti livelli in ogni gara automobilistica affrontata. |

Takaya
Giovane pilota automobilistico che sogna di correre in Formula 1. Un uomo misterioso lo ingaggia per la scuderia Katori e lo fa diventare il pilota della Todoriky.

Proprietario della scuderia Todoriki, personaggio che ricorda nel nome Niki Lauda, e come il presonaggio reale anche lui ha subito delle ustioni sul viso per colpa di un incidente automobilistico
Suzuco
Amica del cuore di Takaya lo segue in tutte le gare facendogli anche da copilota. Segreatamente innamorata di lui, alla fine della stria verrà corrisposta dal protagonista.
Ongoro
Mascotte della serie sveglio ed intuitivo, pronto ad ogni evenienza e spesso anche più saggio degli stessi adulti dell’anime.

Un misterioso motociclista che compare nella serie quando Takaya è nei guai, si rivelerà essere suo padre

Nell’anime non ci sono veri e propri nemici, quanto piuttosto antagonisti. Da citare sicuramente Daisuke, rivale di Takaya che compare nei primi 23 episodi della serie e si rivela, pur gareggiando per la stessa Casa, il più tenace avversario sulle piste.

| ARROW EMBLEM -44 EPISODE – 1977 |
Arrow Emblem is a Japanese anime created by Kougo Hotomi and produced by Toei Animation for a total of 44 episodes directed by Rin Taro (first part) and Nobutaka Nishizawa. The original design of the series is by the famous Akio Sugino – for the characters – as well as Mayumi Kobayashi – for the mecha design. The work arrives in Italy at the beginning of the 80s and is re-proposed on VHS by Yamato Video in 2004. The protagonist of the series is Takaya Todoroki, a young charming racing driver who dreams of racing in Formula 1 with his car. After an accident, the dream seems shattered but a mysterious man hires him for the Katori team. This is none other than the legendary driver Niki Lans (an obvious homage to Niki Lauda), who was injured in an accident. Takaya then developed a new car with four front-wheel steering (the Todoroki Special, inspired by the Tyrrell F1 prototype that raced in those years) thanks to which he was able to compete at high levels in every car race he entered. |

Takaya
A young racing driver who dreams of racing in Formula 1. A mysterious man hires him for the Katori team and makes him the driver of Todoriky.
Niki Lans
Owner of the Todoriki team, a character whose name resembles Niki Lauda, and like the real character he also suffered burns on his face due to a car accident
Suzuco
Takaya’s best friend, she follows him in all the races and also acts as his co-pilot. Secretly in love with him, at the end of the story the protagonist will reciprocate her love.
Ongoro
The series’ mascot is smart and intuitive, ready for any eventuality and often wiser than even the adults in the anime.

A mysterious motorcyclist who appears in the series when Takaya is in trouble, will be revealed to be his father

In the anime there are no real enemies, but rather antagonists. Definitely worth mentioning is Daisuke, Takaya’s rival who appears in the first 23 episodes of the series and proves, despite competing for the same House, to be the most tenacious opponent on the tracks.
