MOON MASK RIDER – GEKKO KAMEN – 39. EPISODE – 1972

Moon Mask Rider (Gekkō Kamen), also known as Moonlight Mask in English-speaking countries and Gekko Kamen in Italian-speaking countries, is an anime based on a Japanese television series that was very popular in the 1960s in the Land of the Rising Sun, starting a golden age for all masked heroes. The original title, Seigi o aisuru mono – Gekko Kamen, can be translated as “Moonlight Mask, the one who loves justice”. Various enemies threaten the world and Japan in particular, and to oppose them there is a mysterious masked motorcyclist who arrives at the right time to fight for justice. The first of these enemies is Satan’s Nails who, by maneuvering his own men, tries to achieve his occult goal, but thanks to one of the latter’s allies (in particular a ninja), Gekko Kamen defeats him.
Later, however, a new enemy arrives who takes the name of Doctor Dogma, this is a scientist who with a mix of technology and magic, sets himself the goal of conquering the world. Dogma chooses to use for his goal a giant and peaceful monkey who takes the name of Mammoth Kong, transforming it and putting it under his control, Gekko Kamen with various adventures helps the city of Tokyo to resist this threat until the police manage to defeat Mammoth Kong through the use of Justice, a robot. Mammoth Kong is captured and brought back to normal thanks to the care and closeness to his son, in the meantime, however, Dogma who has not given up steals Justice and uses him for his goals, but Gekko Kamen defeats him with the help of Mammoth Kong. Later, Dogma, enraged, starts a direct attack on Gekko Kamen and the latter eliminates him.
Some time later, Dragon Fangs arrives to threaten the world, a being with probably diabolical origins who does everything he can to steal the OH crystal, this crystal has among its many powers that of transforming water into air with pure properties. Gekko Kamen helps defend the OH crystal from Dragon Fangs’ attacks until he decides to attack the world with nuclear missiles.
