ULYSSE 31 – L’Odissea del XXXI Secolo
Tratto liberamente dal mito greco, l’anime narra il viaggio spaziale di Ulisse verso la Terra. Dopo l’uccisione di Polifemo, gli Dei condannano l’eroe e il suo equipaggio a un esilio eterno tra le galassie. Accompagnato dal figlio Telemaco, dalla piccola aliena Themys e dal robot Nono, Ulisse deve affrontare le insidie ordite da Zeus per ritrovare la via di casa.
Il merchandising diecast fu affidato alla POPY per il solo mercato europeo (Francia). La serie comprende i personaggi GB-48 (Ulysse), GB-49 (Telemaco) e GB-50 (Nono), oltre ai rarissimi robot di servizio Ingegnere (GB-51) e Pompiere (GB-52). Spiccano inoltre i veicoli componibili della flotta: l’astronave Odysseus (PC-21), l’Elios (PC-22) e la Navette (PC-23).

| ULYSSE 31 – 26 PUNTATE – 1982 |
Ulisse 31 (Uchu densetsu Ulysses 31) è un anime televisivo co-prodotto nel 1981 dalla francese DIC Entertainment e dalla giapponese Tokyo Movie Shinsha. La storia ricalca liberamente l’Odissea scritta da Omero, ambientandola nel XXXI secolo. In Giappone la serie fu trasmessa soltanto nel 1988, molto tempo dopo che in Francia e Italia.[1] Infatti, la serie era stata realizzata appositamente per il mercato estero, e fu trasmessa anche in Giappone solo a seguito delle richieste dei numerosi fan di Shingo Araki. Alla fine del suo compito sul pianeta Troia, Ulisse decide di rientrare sul pianeta Terra, ma durante il viaggio di ritorno la sua astronave viene attaccata dal robot Polifemo. Per salvare l’astronave Odissea e il suo equipaggio, Ulisse riesce a distruggere Polifemo, scatenando così l’ira dei suoi costruttori, antichi alieni chiamati DEI. Gli DEI cancellano dalla memoria di Shirka, il computer di bordo, le mappe per raggiungere il pianeta Terra, costringendo così Ulisse a iniziare un vagabondaggio nello spazio nel tentativo di raggiungere la Terra. Grazie all’aiuto della piccola aliena Themys, Ulisse mette al sicuro i membri dell’equipaggio, lasciandoli in uno stato di animazione sospesa dal quale saranno risvegliati al momento dell’arrivo sulla Terra |

Serie realizzata da Popy ma in esclusiva per il mercato francese, Non esistono per tanto scatole made in japan con Ideogrammi. I chogokin dei personaggi sono molto curati e dettagliati, il più raro e costoso è il robot riparatore. Molto bella e sempre più cosotsa è la fedele riproduzione della nave spaziale scomponibile in 3 veicoli di Ulysse, realizzata quasi tutta in metallo e dalle dimensioni considerevoli.

ULYSSE 31 – The 31st Century Odyssey
Loosely based on the Greek myth, this anime tells the story of Ulysses’ space journey toward Earth. After killing Polyphemus, the Gods condemn the hero and his crew to eternal exile among the galaxies. Accompanied by his son Telemachus, the small alien girl Yumi (Themys), and the robot Nono, Ulysses must face the traps set by Zeus to find his way back home.
Diecast merchandising was handled by POPY specifically for the European (French) market. The series includes the figures GB-48 (Ulysse), GB-49 (Telemaco), and GB-50 (Nono), along with the very rare service robots: Engineer (GB-51) and Fireman (GB-52). Also noteworthy are the modular vehicles: the Odysseus (PC-21), the Elios (PC-22), and the Navette (PC-23).

Ulysses 31 (Uchu densetsu Ulysses 31) is a television anime co-produced in 1981 by French DIC Entertainment and Japanese Tokyo Movie Shinsha. The story is loosely based on the Odyssey written by Homer, setting it in the 31st century. In Japan, the series was broadcast only in 1988, long after it was broadcast in France and Italy.[1] In fact, the series had been created specifically for the foreign market, and was broadcast in Japan only following requests from numerous fans of Shingo Araki. At the end of his task on the planet Troy, Ulysses decides to return to the planet Earth, but during the return journey his spaceship is attacked by the robot Polyphemus. To save the spaceship Odyssey and its crew, Ulysses manages to destroy Polyphemus, thus unleashing the wrath of its builders, ancient aliens called GODS. The GODS erase from Shirka’s memory, the on-board computer, the maps to reach the planet Earth, thus forcing Ulysses to begin a wandering in space in an attempt to reach Earth. With the help of the little alien Themys, Ulysses brings the crew members to safety, leaving them in a state of suspended animation from which they will be awakened upon arrival on Earth. |
The Diecast merchandising of the series was made by the POPY .
Series made by Popy but exclusively for the French market. There are no made in Japan boxes with Ideograms. The chogokin of the characters are very detailed and well-finished, the rarest and most expensive is the repair robot. Very beautiful and increasingly expensive is the faithful reproduction of the spaceship decomposable into 3 vehicles of Ulysse, made almost entirely of metal and of considerable dimensions.
